"Now that Gary is gone and they've lost several warriors, maybe we can negotiate a truce." Sean says, looking at Bo with so much hope in his eyes.

"Alright baby." Bo kisses his lips softly and pats Bobby's shoulder. "Son, ask Mouse to come have a chat with us. I won't ask him to talk to them, just how to get in touch."

"Okay, I'll send him over Dad." Bobby kisses both of his Fathers on the cheek and heads next door.

"It's worth a try baby. If they don't seem receptive, we'll have no choice but to inform the other packs." Bo says, Sean nodding sadly in agreement. "And, I'm sorry." He looks into his mates eyes and closes his own.

"Bo, honey, why are sorry?" Sean asks confused.

"I know, you told me about Jack and I still didn't even think that the past with tribunal could hurt our kids." Bo says, gritting his teeth and sitting Sean on the bed. He rises to pace, biting his lip and running a frustrated hand through his long hair. "Your past, it's a part of you. I admit, there was a time I worried about every move I made with you. I was so afraid of... you fearing me. Of being like him in your eyes. I didn't stop to think, those stories that shaped you into the man I love, could hurt our kids." There's a knock on the door and he crosses to answer it.

"Uhm, Bobby says you needed to see me?" Mouse says, Kat holding his hand and both of them looking nervous.

"Come on in kids." Sean says, smiling and wiping his eyes quickly. "We just have a question we hope you can answer. Settle down." He smiles warmly and they both sigh in relief. "Mouse, would you happen to know how we could contact the clan? We want to give them the chance to claim their dead and make them an offer."

"An offer?" Kat asks confused. "I heard what they did to Bobby, what offer?"

"A truce, of sorts." Sean says, folding his hands and shaking slightly at the illusion of them covered in blood. "We'll keep their existence a secret, as we have for the last two decades. In exchange for the promise that they will not attack any packs. We won't protect them if they expose themselves."

"Luna Sean, you'd really do that?" Mouse asks watching him wiping at his hands.

"It's what I owe for the blood on my hands." Sean says, tears dropping down onto his hands.

"No. No, it's not." Mouse says stepping up to sit beside him, as Bo's heart nearly breaks for his mate. "They knew the risks involved of attacking a stronger foe. And, that man definitely should have known better than to attack a... maternal parents offspring in front of them." He takes Sean's hands into his own. "There's no blood here Luna. You were simply protecting your child, your pack. There's no shame in that, rather, it's honorable. Think of Nora, Xander, and myself. No one protected us like that."

"Green River will protect you all from now on." Sean hugs Mouse, patting the young man's back. "In fact, I need to ask you to do something for me." He swallows hard. "When outsiders visit, stay out of site. Most lycan's won't understand what your scent means. But, your appearance, it's safer to stay hidden."

"My appearance?" Mouse asks sadly.

"Mouse." Sean raises the young man's head to look into his eyes. "You're beautiful, but you're also rare. Some, might try to take advantage of that. It's for your safety sweetie, not because there's anything wrong with the way you look. I worry, that's all." He smiles and hears Kat clear her throat.

"You're worried about the tribunal." Kat says, looking worriedly at Mouse. "That they'd try to take him away, like they tried to take you away from Alpha."

"What?!" Mouse looks at Sean and watches him nod sadly. "They, they could come for me?"

"If they want a war." Sean says, suddenly seeming less fragile. "We don't turn our backs on our own and, you're one of us now. Family. And I won't hand my family over to anyone, not without one hell of a fight."
