I wake up with Kiri's arm around my waist. I want to lay in this moment but god I'm hungry. I grab Kiri's hand and squeeze it. I hear her stir and stretch. "Let's get some breakfast." I say. Kiri nods and I get up.
I make us some food. "Here." I hand it to Kiri who's still waking up. She eats slowly. "Wanna head to the cave?" I ask. Kiri's ears perk up when I ask. It was adorable. "Yeah, yeah let's go." She had her morning voice still and it caught me
off guard.
I offer my hand and Kiri takes it. "We are gonna go on a swim." I say to the Sully family. Jake nods even though I don't think he even heard me. Oh well. I called my ilu and we rode off. I swear Kiri fell asleep on my back, she's never been so quiet. Especially with all the nature around us.
When we arrive I help Kiri off the ilu. We swim under the water toward the cave. I sit down with my legs crossed Kiri sits in front of me. I grab her hands. This was dumb. I had a crush on Kiri. It's so quick I don't even know how long I've known her but I don't ever want to be with someone else. I'll just blame this lovesick virus on me being a child.
Kiri looked at me with expecting eyes. "Oh my god." I mumble. My heart was beating, my breath was quick and short. I could tell Kiri was nervous because the crystals were glowing in a quick rhythmical beat. "Kiri, I don't know how to... say this, but I'll try." I take a deep breath. "We've known each other for only a short time, but I already know that I don't ever wanna leave your side."
"You have brought me so much joy, and I have never felt this way for anyone else before. And I know we're young, but I really, really like you.." I finally spit out my speech.
Kiri gazes at me and my heart drops. I try my hardest not to pull my hands away from hers. "I didn't think that anyone could understand me. Or even see me as something else besides a freak. But you surprised me. You surprised me when I fell for you. You're amazing and all I've ever wanted." Kiri says.
I laugh and lean my forehead on hers. "Oh god, I was so scared." I laugh. Kiri pulls away from my touch. I look at her with a confused face. "Did we really just do that?" Kiri asks. I laugh which comes more out as a squeal. "We're so sappy." I say with a smile.
