We follow dad to sit down in the living room while everyone else is outside
"So mom never went back to know her son?" I ask
"It causes her alot of pain but she knows he successful there were few times when you boys were younger she'd pass by his school and look at him and would cry she looks at magazines and crys but has she ever gone to talk to him no she knows she's no good for him that his success has nothing to do with her and she'd ruin it" dad says
"Why didn't you all tell us earlier It would've been nice to know we have a brother" Kleo says
"I tried I wanted go raise all of you together so did Malcolm she didn't know about that part but she would lose her mind if i even mentioned it" he says
"Did Malcom find love?" I ask
"Yes he married a lovely black woman Holly when Andre was 4 we got invited to the wedding I attended and your mom walked in for 20 minutes and ran off when Andre was close she couldn't keep it together" dad explained
"Does Andre have siblings does he know about us?" I ask
"Holly and Malcolm never had children they just raised Andre and I never told Malcolm not to talk about you boys or Blair but I'm not exactly sure if he told Andre that we had kids." Dad explains
"Are you going to go to the Party tomorrow?" Kleo asked
"Yes I will and I think you boys should go along with Blair he says and we all just silently then hear footsteps and it's Blair
"Whoa, who died in Here?" Blair ask
"No one died but we do have another sibling we didn't know about a BROTHER" I say
"Dad, you cheated on mom I mean thats horrible you have a love child but moms a bitch so must be hard but you should've just divorced her" Blair says
"I did no such thing your mother had another child before any of you were born and me and her were together" dad says
"Mom, no way she's so uptight and high maintenance I don't believe this there's no way y'all this is a lie" Blair says
"Our brother is Andre Dalton the famous Coder" Kleo says
"Wait but he's black, mom has a mixed child oh my god she was with a black man this is crazy.. Wait why did you guys never tell us I would've liked to meet him and be in his life" Blair says
"Grandpa beat and chocked her when she was 8 months pregnant she blacked out and woke up and they had to take the baby out immediately or he would've died and that's when she decided she needs to leg him go and she'd never be good enough for her son nor Malcom and gave up her parental rights and then became a racist so she didn't have to think of all she lost" Kleo explain
"Well I mean that's horrible for her but she could've taken her kid and ran away from our grandparents or just at least not become the way she is" Blair says
"It doesn't excuse her behavior at all but I understand where it came from" I say
"So we're going tomorrow all of us" Kleo says
"I will for sure I want him to know that I didn't know about him" Blair says
"We all will be there but I have to go home this is alot to process and I will see you guys tomorrow Kleo lemme take you home" I say
"Kids I love you all and I'm sorry it wasn't my secret to tell thats why I waited so long I thought she will come and regret all she did and come to face the truth her truth and guilt" dad says
"What going on here why is everyone so quiet" mom ask and we all turn and look at her
"I told them what they needed to know! Meredith" she asks angered
"Which is what Lawrence because looking it doesn't seem good?" she yells
"We know mother about Andre" Kleo says
"And we see him tomorrow you should've told us!" Blair says
"No!" I don't want you guys to meet he'll know that I failed I wanted better please I did this for a reason he's good better without me and what I carry" she cries and her face goes white and she starts go off on her rant for the life she wanted until she runs to her room
"Okay dad see you tomorrow" I say
And I hug Blair and hug him and me and Kleo set out to leave.
I drive the 30 minutes to his place and drop him off
"Thanks for being by my side tonight brother I'll see you tomorrow" Kleo says
"Always and we had each other's backs today" I say and drive back to Rylee place. 20 minutes later I pull up to Rylee's place I knock and 10 minutes later she comes to the door
"Hey welcome back sorry I was in the shower come in! How was the party" she says
"Complicated, dreadful and astonishing that's how I would explain it" I say
"Why what happened?" I ask
"Well my mother was horrible
And my dad was good no issues but then the most shocking part I have another brother my mother got pregnant before she had any of us three and dad told us Andre Dalton is my brother oh and I meet him tomorrow" I say
"Your mom had another baby and never told y'all about him and wait Andre Dalton is black I thought she's a racist" Rylee say
"She turned racist when she was beaten and chocked by her father and had an emergency surgery for her baby to survive she let go all parental rights and her one love so they could be better without her and turned to her ways" I tell her
"Oh my that's horrible but wait the André dalton son of Malcolm ?" she ask
"Yes Rylee please don't tell me you are related to him I'm going to throw up I won't make it" I say
"No of course not!!! His dad though is my fathers best friend they went to school together as grown men in college they used to make us have play dates when they had exams but still had to watch us while our mothers worked. he actually has a party tomorrow and I'm going" Rylee says
"Oh thank god I would've died if we're somehow related and I'll be there too along with my siblings I can't believe this I hate secrets and it feels for the past few months is all I've been dealing with and I can't lie I'm nervous about tomorrow" I, say
