17)Vampoline Carnival

School Carnival,
3rd Person:

Today was a joyous day for the people of Mystic Falls, for there was a carnival on, or more like the final set ups for the carnival. For Chris and Elena it was less fun, for they were under the watchful eye of Caroline to do a good job on organisation while she was still in the hospital

While Elena wanted to talk normal life, she had the nagging mouth of a curious Christopher Bennett chomping down her earhole "She looked exactly like you. It's freaky to me"

"Well she is my ancestor" Elena said with a dull tone not wanting to say anything more on the matter "Hey, I moved the student booths into the cafeteria"

Chris rolled his eyes at Elenas lame attempt to switch up the conversation "She isn't like your great grandma. She's your vampire ancestor. And she didn't look like you, she was you. How does this not bother you? It bothers me"

"I don't know, Chris. I can't explain it so I'm trying to not let it bother me. Unlike you who fixates on every detail he comes across. The Katherine thing is creepy. I've got nothing else"

"What if she's still pretending to be you? If I had someone who looked like me out there roaming around, I'd be even more fixated than I am now" Chris nagged. Elena gave him a look and he knew what it meant "Me and Bonnie are feternal, it's not the same"

"I don't know, you act a lot alike, I mean you are twins. And you do look the same, expecially when Caroline tried to force you into that dress at my sleepover, remember" Elena laughed

"Yes, I said to never speak of it again. So don't try dodge my questions Gilbert" Chris said pointing at Elena while she was opening a box of carnival teddies that Chris was clearly not helping her out with

"I'm not going to sit here and be tortured by the unknown, and instead I'm going to get these prizes over to the ring toss" She said ripping open a bag of snake teddies

"Well, have you spoken to Damon since he killed Jeremy? Or tried to...?"

"No, Chris, I haven't" Elena groaned, turning around holding some snake teddies "And I'm not going to, plus I don't want to keep talking about Damon or anything to do with vampires" She then hooked a snake around Chris' neck and handed him the rest

"Fine" Chris said pointing one of the snakes heads towards Elena and moved it like it was speaking for him "I'll ssstop pessstering"

Elena laughed at his snake joke then picked up another bag herself "I'm human, and I need to do human stuff, otherwise I'm gonna go crazy"

"That is understandable. Sorry for being, well, me. I'll try focus. For Caroline's sake, or she will kill us" Chris told her "I don't know how she does this event organising all the time, it would drive me insane"

"Because she's not human, obviously" Elena chuckled

"Ha, I think you may be right on that"

Night:

Chris was following Elena telling her about what stations needed more supplies of prizes, which was slightly stressing her out "The ring toss is out of Homer and Bart dolls, and also team Jacob t-shirts"

"Okay, I can grab some from the Science room. We also lost a speaker on the karaoke booth" She said in a panicked tone

"Hey, I know I'm adding to the bad news but look around, this is a great success. Good news. Caroline won't murder us"
