"Are you okay Rose?" Claire asks me
"Um" I heard my own voice break "I-I think"
"What" I hear Greyson
"I've been getting nosebleeds lately" I finally say
The room went silent, no one said a word.
"coincidence" Axel reassures
"Headaches and um random bursts of pain" I take a breath "I was wondering why I was hurting so much" I sigh "I guess now I know why"
"Fuck" I hear Greyson say under his breath
I turn to Ashton, he was staring at me with the same eyes and similar expression when he found out about Aidan. He looked so defeated.
I'm sorry. I wanted to say, scream it even.

"No" Claire shakes his head "No no it can't be you" I catch a glimpse of her face then, realisation and sudden expressions of denial.
"She's right, I don't believe it" Axel appears next to me
"No, you just don't want to believe it, there's a difference" I say
"There must be an explanation" Axel says
"Oh just shut up with your logical explanations already, how the fuck do we fix this?" Greyson pleads
"Didn't you hear! There's no way you idiot, its already inside my head I felt it!" I yell
"Shut up will you! For once please, shut your mouth and let me think! He shoots back and starts frantically searching through the shelves
"Grey..." Axel reaches out for him but he just shoves his hand away and searches again almost as if nothing had happened.
Ashton was just frozen, frozen in his place, glued to the floor. Looking at me with widened eyes.
"Ash-" I begin to say but I didn't get the chance to finish because he was already right next to Greyson searching through the books
"Rose listen, we are going to search through every damn book in this library until we find answers" Claire says and searches with the help of Axel
"Please stop, you're wasting your time" I state the obvious "We should be doing something fun you know? As a family? Not wasting our time when the answer is clear and simple!" I feel tears gather in my eyes "It's fine really, maybe the curse isn't that bad"
"Stop saying that as if we're not ever going to see you again! Rose you could die." Claire yells back
This is exactly why I didn't want to tell them anything, they're wasting their time and they know it.
"I know" I say almost in a whisper "I know I could, but there's still a chance"
"No Rose, there is no chance. Do you think a light curse would be put into a book? It was quite literally a deal with the devil!" Ashton says
