You said you loved me
But it only took a moment for you to hate me
When I gave you chance after chance
For every knife, you stabbed in me
Was every bandage I gained
For every Papercut I gave you
Was every step in another direction
I was the problem
In your own words
My pain was toxic for you
But you destroyed what love I had left for myself
You kept trying to fix what never existed
I never called things quit
You did every time you used me
And yet it was always my fault when things got quiet
When we took a break
Because nothing was allowed to be your fault
You knew I'd take the fall
But if only I knew you never loved me
You needed me
You needed me so you didn't fall apart
Which is why I wasn't allowed to
Which is why I never said I love you
