Jason sighed, he was definitely going to get in shape. Or at least get a lot of cardio.

"Why you build town hall! Build towers! Build towers!" Captain screamed at him when he realized on of the construction sites was not a tower.

In the middle of forming an explanation a blinking red light on his dash and a voiced system massage saying that his town hall was under attack practically scared the crap out of him. This was the first time he heard the voices system announcement. But actually he really appreciated that it was voiced instead of making him read it.

Oh, there was also a line of text at the top of his screen. There was no way he was going to read that every time.

Ignoring Captain he ran around the side of the town hall. It took him a minute. There, attacking the far corner was a spitter. One of the same beings that had killed him earlier today.

"Oh, no you don't!" Jason ran up to it to attack.

But right before he got there Captain got to it having run around the other side of the town hall and cleanly cut off its head. Easy.

However, Jason was livid.

"I told you to stay back unless I was dying! Why did you do that! Why!"

Captain looked at him like he was crazy, "You are dying. You die if you attack enemy with no weapon or armor."

He said it like it was a fact. But Jason complained.

"It was just a spitter! I could have hit it at least before you killed it. Come on man! Work with me! I really need the loot!!"

By the time he was done Jason was yelling at Captain.

"Fine, I go back you fight. If you die, you die."

Captain went back to the other side of the town hall. This just got real.

'I am so stupid, I just alienated my only help. Now if I get in a tight spot I am dead! Just great Jason! You blew it, this really isn't a game!!"

Shaking his head he took another deep breath and let all his foolish thoughts slide away. Another red flashing beacon and a voice warning alerted him that another enemy was on the other side of the town hall.

This time Captain just watched as Jason ran up to the spitter and punched it right in the head.

Captain laughed, but a number floated up above its head, 1.

'One hit point?! My strongest attack is one hit point. Oh this is going to be a long three minutes, or however long it is going to take that tower to finish.'

Jason said to himself as he tripped to the ground while trying to get away. Spirit plastered the side of his body pain erupted all along his side where the acid touched. But he calmly wiped it away with his sleeve. He had already been spit at enough to know that the acid was easy to wipe away.

Of course he couldn't wipe it all away. His damage was going to mount. But really he just had to last till the tower came up.

Another voiced warning told him that another spitter had arrived. He ran around and gave that one a one hit point attack, too. The first was following him as he dodged this way and that.

Captain just stood there and laughed. After about a minute he started giving shouted encouragement.

"Dodge left! .... Good boy!"

"Dive, dive, dive!"

"Good hit!"

Captain thought he was an idiot, but he was enjoying the show and appreciating being able to boss the human around, no doubt.
