Her mother came in
And fell with a gasp
What she saw
She couldn't quite grasp
Her perfect little daughter
Just lying there
Her body was racked with despair.

Her death came as a shock
And rocked the towns core
When they all saw her
Lying on the floor
Some pills in her hand
A smile on her face
She no longer felt
Like she was a disgrace.

Her mom saw the note
And picked it up with care
How could all of this be fair?

Her daughter didn't deserve this
She didn't deserve to die
It was just not her time
To say goodbye

But goodbye she said
And away she went
Because her mind
Was just too bent.

And when they saw
Her lying on the bed
This is what
The letter said.

"When I did, don't cry. Just look to the sky, and say goodbye."
