I like my self harm scars. I like seeing the faded lines on my arms because it reminds me that I went through one of the hardest things in life (depression) but I fought through it, and I'm here today. But if I wear a short sleeve shirt, and someone sees my arm, I will always shy away, not because I'm ashamed, oh I'm not ashamed, but because people like to pry. Never be afraid of your scars (Any, from self harm to war to just accidents) because they just show how beautiful and brave you are. I know one day, I can use my scars as an example, if it's for my future kids, my future grand kids, or a random stranger. It WILL get better.
