this is based off a supernatural imagine i read so bare with me😭

third person

y/n had been sitting in her college library, studying for a test for her psychology class.

she didn't acknowledge the person who stood above her, asking for the text book she was reading, causing the person to grow frustrated.

that person was chris. he was in the same class as y/n but they don't really talk.

as chris began walking away, he was stopped by a blond female. she said, "hey, that's my best friend over there, y/n. what's your name?"

"i'm chris, your friend seems to be a real delight," he scoffed.

she replied, "well i'm y/bff/n. she wasn't trying to ignore you, she's deaf."

chris paled as she said that, feeling bad for how frustrated he got.

"go talk to her, she's really kind," y/bff/n encouraged, handing chris a notepad and lightly pushed him toward y/n.

watching the whole banter with her best friend and the random boy she had been talking to, she was confused to say the least.

she was even more confused when that same boy sat across from her.

he wrote hi, i'm chris. what's your name? on the notepad before passing it to the girl, awaiting an answer.

she wrote back i'm y/n, lovely to meet you.

their time writing had come to an end by a librarian coming up to the two and telling them it was time for the library to close.

chris then watched as the librarian signed something toward y/n.

he assumed she signed the same sentence he had just been told but he was wrong because y/bff/n came up to him and said, "she signed that you're cute."

all the brunet boy could do was blush at that, watching as y/bff/n walked away, leaving chris and y/n alone again.

y/n handed chris the notepad back and the page said here's my number. xxx-xxx-xxxx. obviously, don't call me. text me. it was nice writing to you, chris. talk soon?

chris nodded up at y/n and she wrote down one more thing that said i'll have to teach you some sign language at some point.

he nodded once again, taking back the notepad, watching as she walked away with a deep red coating his cheeks.
