Pretty but Deadly

Chapter 10: The Offer

Nagising ako sa malakas na tawanan. Aroganteng klase ng pagtawa. Pumipikit-pikit pa ako dahil sa paglabo ng aking paningin. Ugh! My head hurts, too!  Hindi ako agad bumangon ng maramdamang kami'y nagbababyahe. I was inside a moving van and I keep recalling what on earth am I doing here? My hands were tied in ropes and so as my feet. Damn! Pain shot my head again. The incident came flashing back and I first thought of April. Asan ang batang iyon?

I silently pushed my upper body upward to sit. They placed me at the back seat of the van so eventually they still haven't notice me awake. My white blouse was stained with blood while my skirt was── Where the hell is my skirt?! I'm not wearing that uniform anymore, just my maong shorts that is underneath it. My skirt was gone! A towel with blood spots was wrapped on my left leg, the part that was shot. I think they've already removed the bullet and cleaned the wound. That is so damn ironic!

"Ang sabi ni Boss, wag saktan itong babae." The guy seated in front of me said while chuckling.

"Wala tayong maggagawa.  Nanlaban eh." Sagot ng katabi nito. "Akalain mo 'yon! Halos maubos niya tayong lahat. Pati yung batang kasama niya magaling rin kaso nakatakas." Napailing ito. Oh, he's talking about April. I was relieved. Good thing she had escaped──Hey, wait! Pakialam ko ba sa madaldal na batang iyon.

Tatlong lalaki ang nakaupo sa may harapan ko. Bale apat silang lahat kasama ng nagmamaneho. Sa palagay ko ay ilang oras na kaming nagbabyahe dahil naabutan na namin ang pagsikat ng araw. I don't know what time is it already. The attack happened last night. I wonder who's behind this. Akala ko pa naman ang Clemente Mafia lang ang naghahabol sa buhay ko. But now, I don't know anymore. The frequent attack shows that someone else wants me, either dead or alive.

"Mabuti na lang nabaril ko agad siya sa hita! Kung hindi, hindi natin makukuha si Miss Beautiful." The other one laugh arrogantly. My brows wrinkled and I gritted my teeth, sending him death glares behind his back. I'll kill him! I'll kill him first. Talagang pinagyabang niya pa ito. Lagot siya sakin ngayon't narinig ko itong lumabas mismo sa bibig niya. 

Their topic changed to rewards and money for their accomplished mission. Hah! Not yet, boys. Walang nakakaalam na gising na ang tatapos sa kaligayahan nilang tatlo. They laugh with rejoice while I'm busy removing these thick ropes. My ankles reddened but at least I had successfully removed it. Unfortunately, the rope tied in my wrist is too tight and I need a sharp object to be able to remove it. Hinayaan ko na muna itong nakatali. Tutal mapapatay ko pa rin naman sila kahit sa kalagayan kong ito.

I remember during the time I'm still at Mafia's league, they gave me a solo mission. A mission to kill all people attended the special party, which are all Clemente Mafia's rivals and traitors. Hundreds attended that stupid party. I killed them all. Some were poisoned, others were killed with my gun and knife secretly, but mostly were burned alive. Para siguradong walang sabit ay kinulong sila at sinunog ko na lang a venue. At ngayon, bilang lang sa aking mga daliri ang nasa harapan ko. Three idiotic monkeys that I need to kill. Easy-peasy. My lips twitched into an evil smirk when I saw a ballpen lying flat on the rough carpet-like floor. I gingerly picked it up and held it between my tied hands.

"Siguradong ako ang may pinakamalaking pursyento rito──"Hindi ko na ito pinatapos sa pagmamayabang ang lalaking bumaril sa akin nang isinaksak ko sa leeg nito ang hawak kong ballpen.

"Oh, shut up!" I removed it abruptly. Blood furiously gushed out his neck, and then elbowed the seated beside him. Nanlaki ang mata ng natira at sari-saring mura ang lumabas sa kanilang bibig. Swiftly, I jumped to their seat to jab the guy seated at the middle in his left eye. He roared in pain and the driver got scared, the van's pace wiggled from side to side. Naiinis na ako sa sigaw nito kaya binale ko na rin ang kanyang leeg at napasandal ito sa katabi nito ng wala ng buhay. Ang natira sa kanila ay sinubukan pang maglabas ng baril pero agad ko ring sinipa ang nangangatog nitong mga kamay. I grab his hair and smashed his head to the heavily tinted glass window numerous times. Dinampot ko ang baril nito, tinapat sa ulo niya at hinila ang gatilyo. More blood sputtered everywhere. Pinagbabaril ko silang lahat para walang takas sa kamatayan. Again, more blood spluttered everywhere until it puddles and covers the ground.
