the sound of the doorbell ringing rang through your apartment, knowing that it was jude, you checked your hair in the mirror one final time before going to open the door. you hadn't made much of an effort really, but you wanted to make sure there weren't any stray strands of hair sticking up, so you wouldn't embarrass yourself. although, you knew jude wouldn't mind one bit.

tonight seemed to hold more weight than any other night that jude had come over had. your feelings for him seemed to be at the forefront of your mind constantly, and you realised that by doing things subconsciously just to try be and look better for him. even though, you had an incredible friendship with jude, the way you looked never bothered him in the slightest, with your feelings for him clear, it seemed now like it would.

"hey," jude said with a huge grin on his face as you opened the door. he pulled you into a hug, kicking the door closed behind him. once he let go of you, he shrugged oof his jacket placing it over the back of the sofa before flopping down in his spot. picking up the remote, and turning on the tv, ready to scroll through netflix, he glanced back at you, "what we having?"

"pasta," you told him, walking over to the stove where it was cooking, stirring it a little more, making sure it didn't stick to the pan.

"oh, my favourite," he grinned at you again, before selecting you favourite show to watch, pressing pause on the episode, so that it wouldn't play without you.

about five minutes later, you had plated up the pasta, and were sat next to jude on the sofa, the pair of you entranced in the episode showing on your tv.

there suddenly became and awkwardness in the room, when there was a kissing scene on the screen. you felt jude shift a little next to you, as your mind immediately went to what it would feel like to kiss jude, a strange tension building up in the room. you wanted to get out of the room as soon as possible, so after realising that the both of you had finished, you quickly took the bowls back into the kitchen, placing them in the sink, ready to be washed later.

jude stood up, clearing his throat. "i best be off, it's getting late." it wasn't that late, jude having only been in your apartment for a little over an hour and a half, but with the tension building up in the room, and it all feeling a little awkward, you understood where he was coming from.

"okay, i'll walk you to the door," you said, following him into the hallway.

"i'll see you tomorrow?" i came out more of a question, because he wasn't sure if you would be working tomorrow or not.

you nodded. "good night, jude," you whispered, wrapping your arms around him in a hug.

when he pulled out of the hug, you thought he was going to turn around and leave, but instead he leaned down slamming his lips to yours.

you didn't know what to do a first, until finally realisation finally took over your body melting into the kiss. when the two of you pulled apart for aid, jude's brow furrowed at the shocked expressioe on your face.

"oh my god, i'm so sorry, i don't know why i did that. i'll never do that again, i just thou-" you cut him off by wrapping your hands around the back of his head, and pulling him down to meet his lips in another heated kiss.

"you have no idea how long i have waited for you to do that," you whispered against his lips, a grin breaking out across his face at your confession.

"can i stay the night?" he said, breathing heavily, until he realised what he said might have been a bit too forward. "i-i mean, only if you want me to, i wouldn't force you to do anything you didn't want to."

"no, no. stay. please," you said, pleading with your eyes.

his lips met yours again, as he slowly turned your body to press you lightly up against the wall. "we're going to be here all night at this rate," you giggle, caressing his cheek with your thumb.

jude let out a little laugh, "well, there's nowhere else i'd rather be right now anyway."
