Start from the beginning

They got about two more hours of sleep before Everleigh woke them up by crying. She was not feeling well and it had woken her up. So Harry grabbed her, rubbing her back to soothe her.

Louis turned over, waking up and watching as Harry tried to calm the sick baby. She had a snotty little nose and kept coughing a bit too.

When her cries finally subsided and she was just laying against Harry he grabbed a tissue and wiped her little nose. "I'm so sorry this is happening..." Harry mumbled, feeling guilty for bringing a sick baby into the house.

"It's fine babe...there was no way you could've known" Louis told him

"I know...but I know you don't feel good either...you have a fever and just the look on your face tells me you're not well" Harry said sadly, reaching over and putting a hand on Louis' warm cheek which was drained of all color.

Louis sighed, he hadn't been as good at hiding it as he'd hoped. "Yeah...I feel really crumby to be completely honest" Louis sighed, leaning into Harry's touch.

"Oh love...well I'm gonna take care of both of my sick babies..." Harry told him as they sat on the bed. "What feels yucky? Maybe you have medicine to help?" Harry asked him, also wanting to know what Everleigh's symptoms were because he'd been a paranoid parent and had brought their baby medicines from home.

"Well I'm really nauseous, I can't breathe through my nose, my head hurts, my body aches, and I dunno...everything..." Louis whispered, moving to lay his head in Harry's lap as Harry was sitting up and he'd been laying down.

"Aww it sounds like you guys have like a full on flu. Why don't we go downstairs and get you guys some medicine in your system?" Harry suggested, waiting for Louis' head to move before he got up.

Harry got them both some medicine, hoping that at least helped bring their fevers down. Then he took them back up to bed. He even brought Everleigh's now freshly cleaned bed in the room.

"We're just gonna have a cuddle day all day okay? I'm so sorry she got you sick" Harry told him, he just felt so guilty that Louis had what Everleigh had.

"It's fine...there was no way you could've stopped it" Louis mumbled, laying in bed with a sleepy Everleigh.

Harry sighed sadly, knowing today was going to be a long day.

Everleigh was now in her bed, sleeping peacefully as that was the best thing for her to help fight off this sickness.

Louis on the other hand was laying against Harry, eyes shut but he couldn't sleep because he was feeling more nauseous by the minute. "How's it going babes?" Harry asked him, having a hand down his shirt so he could rub his back soothingly.

"Really awful...I feel so nauseous..." Louis mumbled, laying there with his eyes squeezed shut because his head was also aching and having them open was making him more nauseous.

"Do you think you're gonna be sick?" Harry asked him but didn't even get an answer because Louis was suddenly up out of bed and running to the bathroom.

Harry was kind of startled, he got up to follow him and opened the door to Louis' bathroom to him throwing up in the toilet. "Awww darling..." Harry said sadly, rubbing up and down his back as he was sick.

When he was done he flushed the toilet and wiped his mouth with toilet paper before turning to Harry and hugging on him. "Aww love, I'm sorry you're so sick. Why don't you brush your teeth and then we can go lay in bed again? So you can get some rest" Harry told him, kissing the top of his head gently as Louis slowly got up to go brush his teeth.

Harry waited for him before they went back to bed. Everleigh was still sleeping which made Harry happy, she really needed to sleep her sickness off.

Louis on the other hand looked miserable and it worried Harry, Everleigh seemed it be recovering faster and Louis was still so sick. "I'll make us some soup tonight okay? That way it'll be easy on your stomach" Harry told Louis, rubbing his stomach for him because he knew he was nauseated.

Louis nodded, holding onto Harry tightly and shutting his eyes to fall asleep. He was so tired and he needed to take a nap. Harry kept rubbing his belly and it soothed him right to sleep, so he kissed his forehead and went downstairs to go start on some soup.

He was so worried for Louis, he couldn't understand why Everleigh seemed to just be having a 24-hour bug while Louis was still pretty sick.

"What kind of soup did you make?" Louis asked later, walking downstairs with Everleigh on his hip. She'd woken up and seemed a little more energetic. It was almost like she'd just bounced back.

"Just chicken noodle. I used thicker noodles, just so you have something in your belly" Harry told him, turning around to see Louis holding Everleigh and he smiled sadly. He took Everleigh from him, feeling his forehead and noticing he still had a fever.

"Why don't you go sit on the couch? I'll bring the soup and maybe some Ibuprofen? Cuz you look all peaky" Harry told him sadly and he nodded, then went to the couch.

Harry finished up in the kitchen, getting Louis a bowl of soup and some medicine and brought it out to him. He had a blanket on and Harry smiled sadly. "My poor sick baby" Harry cooed, treating him like he would treat Everleigh.

But Louis wasn't complaining, it made being sick better to have someone so caring to nurse him back to health.

Harry fed Everleigh, while Louis slowly ate himself. Then Harry got a bowl of soup, cuddling up to Louis as they watched Everleigh in her bouncer.

"Did the soup help at all my darling?" Harry asked as Louis set the bowl down and cuddled up against him, laying his head on Harry's chest.

Louis nodded and they cuddled on the couch, Harry finishing his soup then wrapping his arms around Louis.

"I love you...thanks for taking care of me" Louis mumbled, looking up at Harry with pitiful eyes. Harry smiled down at him, moving hair off his forehead and then pressing a kiss to it. "I love you too, and don't thank me. I'll always here to take care of you." Harry told him, still so worried that Louis still felt this ill

But he just figured he was older than Everleigh so Everleigh could bounce back quicker.

That's the logic that made the most sense to him.
