Steven turned and looked at Carlos. "How do we get out of here?" Steven asked.
"I don't know" Carlos replied with.
"You don't need to fight me, Steven. Surrender control." Marc said to Steven in the reflection of the window.
"No, I saw what you did to those people." Steven yelled at Marc.
"It's not what you think." Marc told Steven
"I'm... I am never giving you control again. Ever. Do you hear me?" Steven told Marc. Then a radio went static.
"I hear you loud and clear, Steven Grant of the gift shop." Harrow spoke through the radio.
"Oh, God." Steven gasped as the door opened on both sides making Steven and Carlos fall out. But he managed to get up.
"You better fix this Carlos!" The lion headed god snapped, and he nodded as he walked over to Steven still cuffed.
"I'm sorry for the wait. We just needed a chance to better understand your situation. Do you have the keys?" Harrow spoke calmly to Steven, "Let's get you out of those cuffs. There you go.
Thank you both. Aren't they terrific?"
The two officers walked off as Harrow uncuffed Steven and Carlos.
"Yeah, they're lovely." Steven replied with.
"Yeah very lovely" Carlos sighed as Harrow looked at him pulling him into a hug.
"It's been a long time Carlos" Harrow spoke then he moved away looking back at Steven, "no wonder your scales don't balance. It must be very difficult having all those voices inside one head. Steven Grant, Marc Spector, Khonshu."
"Leave them Carlos and find me that scarab!!" Maahes roared making Carlos jump.
"I'm curious Steven, do you think that Khonshu chose you as his Avatar because your mind would be so easy to break or because it was broken already?" Harrow asked Steven.
"No, I'm not broken. Just need some help, maybe." Steven mumbled some of his words.
"That's right. That's why I'm here, to help." He told Steven then Steven's expression change to fear as khonshu appeared.
"Ignore him Steven" Carlos whispered to Steven, giving Harrow a dirty look.
"Okay, what is it? Do you see him? You see him right now? That's a privilege I no longer have." Harrow spoke to Steven calmly
"Kill him!" Khonshu roared
"Yes kill him!" Maahes hissed impatiently.
"What's he saying, huh? Is he telling you to kill me?" Harrow spoke to Steven hinting to khonshu not knowing that Carlos was an avatar as well.
"Break his windpipe!" Khonshu roared appearing next to Harrow right in stevens face.
"Crush him Carlos! Let him bleed out on the floor! After all he did kill your only father. Blood for blood!" Maahes whispered loudly in his ear making him clench his jaw. Carlos tightened his hands into fists getting ready to punch the life out of Harrow but stopping himself and saving his energy for what's coming.
"Yeah. Well, just remember, you don't have to do everything he asks. So, before you get excited and put on the cape, I'd love to take this opportunity to show you around." Harrow spoke calmly to Steven looking over to Carlos, "you too Carlos"
Carlos sighed, hesitantly going over to him. Khonshu aggressively blowed something over making Steven gasp and yelp.
"It's all right, Steven." Carlos whispered to Steven taking his hand gently and Steven squeezed it slightly.
"That's all he can do without your help." Harrow explained as he walked into the neighbourhood.
