The Demon

Dark clouds impend

As the rain starts to descend

The wind begins to howl

As if to be on the prowl

I gazed across the blacken horizon

To see what demon that had been summon

The one that snuffed out the starry sky

Who put this night in such awry?

As my eyes adjusted to the night

I looked upon a fearful sight

A twisting demon comes my way

Should I run or should I stay

Legs grew weak and my mind weary

What have I done to make this night so dreary

Closed my eyes and fell to my knees

For I could not bare to see

I rubbed my eyes and awoke

To see the day had just broke

Raised my hands towards the sky

And yelled, it’s good to be alive
