The weather seemed more exotic to him, the rhythm of his heart beat were reaching his own ears. A pleasant smile was formed on his lips.

Her eyes.

Her smell.

Everything was roaming in his mind since the moment, he stepped out of his house.

The office hours seemed longer today for some reasons.

His concentration was not on his work but on his wife.

The happiness of having her in his arms everyday, is making him excited and restless at the same time.

Restless because of time he will have to spend without her and excited for the time he will spend with her.

Poking his tongue on his inner cheek, he reminisced the moments with her. Those blissful moments.

The meal he had earlier this morning handmade by her, he could still feel the heavenly taste on his tongue.

Now, he will eat the food made by her only. He made a mental note about it.

The last time he had food which gave him homely feeling was when Saanvi offered him her lunch on their second meet.

And before that, sixteen years ago.

He can't exactly remember the taste of the food he used to have in his orphanage. But that was the only thing which provided him comfort during those days.

The taste of the food was so delicious and it always gave him a homely feeling as if his mothe---

Arjun closed his eyes to stop himself from going in that direction, again.

His parents.

A topic which no one brings in front of him knowing very well the consequences. He himself never really thinks about them. He doesn't even know whose blood is actually running in his veins.

He has no memory of them and the lady at the orphanage never mentioned about them either.

He never really was interested in knowing about them. All he knows is that they left him when he needed them the most.

He doesn't give a damn if they died or simply abandoned him.

Pinching the bridge of his nose, he sighed and regretted thinking about them.
It always leaves a bitter feeling inside him so it's better to just leave this topic and focus on his current life.

He fished out his phone from his pocket and put it on the speaker while settling on the chair.

"Sir, I have delivered the gift to your mansion" the person from the other end spoke.

"Good" Arjun replied rubbing his temples and cut the call.

His head was throbbing painfully. Amidst all these chaos, he barely gave any attention to his work.

He just wants to get done with all these work and go to his safe space.

In the arms of his woman.

Saanvi avoided the calls of Armaan. She didn't have any energy to lie more especially to her best friend.

The man who knows her more than she does herself. The man who will catch her lie in seconds.

She just can't take any risk now and it would be better if she won't drag Armaan in this mess. He is living his life peacefully.

"Ma'am" Saanvi turned around at the voice and found a middle aged woman standing at the door.
