A beginning with a lie ☑️

Chapter 3

And before I could say anything, I was pulled by Phi Forth's sister and cousins to Phi Forth's room.

The room was decorated with red heart balloons and roses. The bed was covered with a white sheet and a heart shape full of rose petals.

"We specially decorated it for you and Phi Forth's first night," Nong Nia whispered in my ears.

"That was my line you, little brat," Phi Rin said. "Hoyeee... Look at that pink blush on her cheeks. Forth is really stupid to leave his beautiful wife stand alone at the party. If he comes late, keep him hanging. You have our support." The sisters laughed at their jokes and their sentences made me nervous.

"Wait for Phi Forth here." Phi Rin, Forth's sister, left with Phi Shine and Nong Rin. I was left alone inside Phi Forth's room. I was unsure of what to do and how to reject Phi Forth if he tried to touch me.

I sat on the bed for some time. After some time I realised that Phi Forth was still not coming, so I decided to look at the frames on his wall. The first frame was of his childhood, he was wearing a superman costume with his hands on his waist. His face looked as if he was sulking. "So cute, baby Phi Forth!" I chuckled. I pinched his face on the frame. He was really cute as a baby.

The second frame was maybe from his 12-13 yrs old. He was holding a trophy in his hands which was raised above his head. "Super talented, Phi Forth!" I said to the frame. This man was handsome even in his childhood.

A few of the frames were with the family members. A collage of his birthday parties with face cakes.

The next was he with his friends on a beach. Next was - he in his college uniform. White shirt and black trousers with a black tie. "Quite handsome. 10 on 10," I gave him ratings like Phi Dream.

In the next frame, he was in his Sotus uniform. It was a white tee-shirt with SOTUS imprinted inside a gear symbol in red colour. "First year of Engineering. I see. Purposely pointing out sweat." I laughed at that frame. Phi Forth was standing among his 8-9 friends and I was sure I saw them all today at the wedding.

Next was he in his blue hazer jacket, "So, you were the head hazer? Must be so strict. Look at your poker face. Totally expressionless." I told Phi Forth in the frame. He was standing on the stage in the middle with other hazers around him and students sitting on the floor.

I might be a business management and medical student but I know the dress code of engineering. Engineering faculty is very famous and everyone knows about it.

The last frame was from his graduation ceremony. He was proudly holding his certificate and a golden trophy. "So, you were the topper of your batch too, huh?" I asked Phi Forth in the frame.

"Yeah." I heard Phi Forth's voice. I was startled. Did he hear what I say? You stupid, Beam!!! You made yourself a fool here!

"Sorry... I was... You were late... I was... getting bored... Umm... Saw these frames...." I didn't know what to say. Gosh! This man's smile was making me nervous. "When... Did you come?" I asked, mustering the courage.

"When you were mentally pinching baby Phi Forth," he laughed.

Shia!!! Why was I so dumb not to notice Phi Forth came inside. Did he hear everything I said about him? Stupid me!!! Someone kill me, please!! Please swallow me, mother earth!!!

"Sorry for being late. Did you wait longer?" He asked.

"Yes." I said and regretted it immediately. "No, no, I mean..." What to say? What to say?

"It's okay. Come sit here." He made himself comfortable on the bed and patted beside him.

I sat beside him but maintained one hand distance. He shifted beside me and held both of my hands in his one hand. I was afraid it was an understatement. What if he tries to have sex? I mean... Isn't it what people do on their first night? What if he finds out that I am not Phi Dream? What if he tells my Dad? What if something happens to him?
