Awoken to wonder.

"Gaaahhhh!"

Izuku sprung awake and took several deep breaths. He pushed himself off the ground and sat on the ground, trying to reoxygenate his exhausted body and steady his breathing. He sat upright on the floor, surrounded by the fruiting vines that hung from the ceiling.

One of his hands grip his chest, right above where his heart would be. And the other being on the side of his head, which was hurting badly.

Izuku flinched when another wave of pain surged throughout his head again. His breathing was heavy, his mouth hanging open, saliva slowly dripping from the entrance of his mouth. His thoughts were running wild, the events of what happened before he blacked out. And the ones in the dark, when he was unconscious, were being played to his mind. Or at least the parts where Izuku begins running.

Both were playing at the same time, the feeling was like watching two films at the same time that ran at twice or trice the normal speed it had been played at. Each flashback was viewed by one eye, meaning the events of both situations were being flooded into Izuku's brain. And having the brain of an eight-year-old that pays extremely to detail meant that his brain was doing its best to process both events at the same time while trying to keep every single detail.

This process causes a massive major migraine on both sides of Izuku's head. And even after Izuku's brain had processed both events, the headaches continues. The pain was like someone with heated metal gloves slowly moving and rubbing against the surface of his brain. It felt like with each passing second, his brain was melting.

His body shook uncontrollably. Tears, gunk, and saliva slowly leak out from the eyes, nose, and mouth. His eyes bulged as large as they could. Adrenaline pumps throughout his body, flowing through his veins. Izuku didn't see the green vines or brick walls when he awoke. No, he awoke to the memories of both events as both were playing simultaneously through both his eyes. The fear, the pain, everything he felt from both events had tricked the brain, making it think that the events being played before it was the present and instantly caused it to respond.

However, Izuku couldn't move as the flashback was so vivid that the body tried to replicate the speed and energy used which Izuku ran with, causing his body to have a minor seizure. His body had an abnormal amount of adrenaline flowing through his veins and muscles as his body wasn't naturally using any. His breathing became rough and heavy as his body tried to resupply an imaginary need for oxygen. His chest flared up with pain, his muscle screamed in agony, and his throat convulse as he coughed painfully through breaths. His vision blurred and his hearing deafen.

Izuku hadn't been in this much pain before he fell down here. Being announced as quirkless, going to school, telling anyone about his dream, or just being with his sister and former friend, all of those cause him pain. Injuries from bruises, burns, cuts, and many more. But this, this amount of pain was something not even he could imagine could ever happen to anyone.

Izuku couldn't think straight, his thoughts were running wilder since he sat down for a week, trying to examine every single hero's quirks and possible evolution for future uses. His mind trying to process the new information it just received.

"What was that?!" "Who was that?!" "How did I survive?!" "How did that villain get so big?!" "Who were those figures?!" "Why ...."

*Gurkle*

*Ggggggrrrrrr*

Izuku froze, and his rough heavy breathing stopped. His body stops shaking. His mind stops running, thinking. His body just froze in place at the sound of familiar clicking noise and a growl.

Most of the clicks and growls were slightly muffled by the brick walls around him. Except for the wall behind him, which had a hole for an entrance. And that was exactly where the two sounds had been emitted from, unmuffled.
