Chapter 28: A Concerning Discovery

She gasped putting down the list, "Why was my name there... Why am I on the list..." 

Footsteps were then heard approaching her from the corner of the library, "Y/N?" A familiar voice called out 

"She turned around and saw the man she was looking for, "Namjoon!" She stood up immediately letting go of the apple and list she was holding

"What are you doing here?" He asked

"I was umm... you see... Jin told me to tell you that you have a meeting with someone this afternoon... Y-You and him he said!" She gulped

"Ah... I see.." He looked over to the desk and saw the books and papers unarranged. "Were you reading something?" He raised an eyebrow

"Umm... No..?" The girl lied but Namjoon wasn't buying it. "Y/N, if you're gonna lie, at least pick up something believable and a not so obvious situation. Also fix your expression and try not to make it visible that you're lying to anyone" He sighed while the girl only gave a nervous little laugh

Namjoon's face wasn't his usual resting face, he looked completely serious and wasn't having anything at all, he looked exhausted and was paler than usual. The girl thought he must've been up all night or that it might just be natural for a demon, either way, the man is bothered by something 

Namjoon then noticed the book about moon bloods was also rearranged along with the list out on the table than stuck between the pages. He immediately looked at Y/N that frightened the girl

"Was that the book you've been reading all along?" He asked with a deep voice that would send chills down your spine

"Umm... Maybe..?" The girl lied again

Namjoon walked slowly towards Y/N making her back away in a slow pace, "What did I told you about lying, Y/N?" The demon looked sharply into the girl's eyes

"I- I- I.... " She then hit the table completely blocking her way as Namjoon went closer

"Let me remind you once again... if you're gonna lie, at least pick up something believable and a not so obvious situation. Do you recall that?" His voice, his glare, his aura, the atmosphere completely change into something darker and intense. It felt like you're being face to face with your killer. Or maybe that is the situation

"Y-Yes..." She gulped as he gets close. She felt her energy drain, she felt weak. Her legs were giving up and was about to unbuckle if she didn't have the energy to maintain posture and lift herself up using the table

"What's wrong? You don't look so well. Are you scared of me?" He asked not noticing the other details around the room

"I- I'm... I-..." Y/N slightly whined feeling a suffocating pressure coming upon them. 'Why do I suddenly feel like this..?' She thought 

"Y/N" Namjoon slowly starts to notice there's something off going around and became worried. He then saw a half eaten apple on the ground and it hit him

"Y/N! Y/N!" He called out holding the side of her shoulders to support her

"Namjoon..." She appears to tremble as her vision begins to blur, "What's happening..?" Everything was spinning slowly making her feel like she was ready to faint at any moment

"Y/N! Sh-Shit..." He carried her in his arms and ran to the halls. His footsteps, his breathing, his heartbeat, his calls for someone, someone she can't make up who, everything was faint and audible in her ears. It's getting darker, It's getting more blurred, the noises are beginning to fade

"Wh-What... did I got myself into..." The girl could only mutter trying to stay conscious with the only energy she had left

Namjoon knocked furiously at someone's door. She saw it open revealing a familiar structure and a familiar voice speaking out. 'Who is he again? Who is it? Who are you?' She asked in her mind trying to make up an image over a warped vision

"Y/N... apple... poison... help... toxic... death... " Namjoon's sentence were incomplete and audible, but she knew loud and clear that she had made a huge mistake 

"Come in..." The only word she heard from the other person. A cold gust of wind embraced her the moment the door was opened for them to enter

She was laid over a soft bed, "Y/N... Y/N..." There's two people in the room, she doesn't know who was talking anymore

"Y/N... stay... Y/N..." 

With that, she gave up and closed her eyes officially losing consciousness

"Y/N!" The same voice called out again and the last thing she heard

Y/N's POV

Hot... Why does it feel so hot all of the sudden? Earlier I felt so cold... It's dark... What's happening? 

I opened my eyes and... Red... My vision is getting clearer... It's a ceiling... Similar to the ceiling in the mansion... But everything is dim... Everything is in the hue of red... What's going on? The last time I remember, I was carried by Namjoon into someone's room...

I sit up and looked around. I was in my room... But then again... I feel like I'm not... Did I get carried back? Am I alright now?

I decided to go outside and look for those monsters. "Namjoon?" The hallway was dim, it was eerie than before. Everything looked normal but also not... Everything is the same but also not... Why does everything looks like nothing's going on but deep inside me tells me that this is not what I think it is... I'm scared...

"Hey guys? Hello!" I shouted in hopes of someone to accompany and comfort me in this 

"Kookie?" I knocked at Jungkook's door but there was no response. I knocked again, "Kookie are you there?" Is he hunting? I checked my phone for the time and... I can't comprehend it... The numbers were glitching. They don't even look like numbers anymore! They looked more like glitching symbols

"Kookie... Are you there?" I entered Jungkook's room and my heart immediately dropped

"Y/N?" Jungkook... The man who stayed beside me through the chaos...

Is eating Yeonjun's disfigured body...
