CHAPTER 19

He said I call me and I should be, but why the hell I'm nervous? Oh there's nothing to be nervous about, he just told me to call him. Pero ano naman ang sasabihin ko kung sakaling sagutin niya ang tawag ko.

Kagat labi akong pabalik-balik dito sa loob ng kwarto hindi alam ang gagawin. Napabuntong hininga ako at pinukpok ang cellphone sa ulo. Gosh I'm so nervous.

Bumuo ako nang lakas ng loob at nagsimulang hanapin ang pangalan sa contact ko pero bago ko pa mahanap ang pangalan niya ay nagring na ang phone ko. Muntik ko na ito mabitawan dahil sa gulat.

Oh my God! His calling! Shit. My nerves are panicking and my hands are sweaty. I answered the call with a cold hands. I cleared my throat before talking.

"H-hello," pagsisimula ko. I heard a sexy chuckled that almost made me jump off the house.

"I told you to call me." He said like I've been a bad girl.

"Uhm ... " Kapiramdam ko ay mental block ako dahil sa kaba. I didn't expect him to call!

"Are you going tomorrow?" He asked out of nowhere.

"Huh? Where?" I asked confused.

"To the party. Didn't your parents told you?"

Party? What party? Tsk, it's my first time been curious about a party. I always hate party.

"They didn't. Maybe they'll me later." He hummed to my answer.  I clear my throat dahil Wala na akong masabi pa, parang nauulol agad ako pag siya ang kausap ko.

"What are you doing?" I asked at humiga sa kama. Niyakap ko ang malaking pink teddy bear ko habang kinakagat ang isang daliri.

"I'm reviewing."

Right. Malapit na ang exam nila, at kami rin. After his exam he will take a bar exam and continue his law abroad. That's what he said. I wish time run slow para tumagal s'ya dito. But just like my old wishes. They didn't came true. Never.

"Ang hirap ng exam namin, girl. Parang naubos ang braincells ko sa gen math at calculous." reklamo ni Birkina. Nasa canteen kami ngayon at hindi pa tapos ang exam namin and his acting like his balls fell. I shook my head and just continue reviewing for our next subject to take. I eat sandwich and juice so it won't be hard for me to think straight when I'm taking my exam.

Plus my man told me that too. So I'm just being a good girl.

We don't have a calculus because that's the specialize subject of stem students. After our exam pumunta kami ni Birkna sa cafe shop kasama si Timmy.

"You suffer so much." Birkina acted like she pity Timmy for sticking with me. What a bitch. He even wiped off his imaginary tears.

"I did not told her to stick with me."

"Baka tinatakot ka niya ha, sabihin mo lang sakin." He tapped Timmy's shoulder and smile on her pitiful. I scoff unbelievably and rolled my eyes.

"Hindi naman. Mabait si Angela kaya sa kan'ya ako sumasama." She said and that made Birkina laugh like there's no tomorrow.

"Shut up, Birkins." Inis kong sabi. But he just ignore me and laughed even more.

"May mali ba akong sinabi?" Puno ng pagaalala na tanong ni Timmy. Birkina shook his head while his shoulder are still shaking.

"Wala naman. Hindi mo pa siguro nakikita ang darksid--"

He sentence was cutted dahil sa isag sigaw. The door of cafe shop made a noise which means may pumasok na customer.

"Sweetheart!"

Agad akong napailing dahil sa sigaw na 'yon. I regret calling him sweetheart. He keep pestering me.

Bumaling ako sa gawi nila at nakitang kasama nito ang mga kaibigan. My man was there too. Looking at me with a smug face. I didn't saw him for almost a week. We call ever night but it's not that long because I have to study and so is he.

Next week pa ang exam nila at tapos na samin. How did I know that? I have my ways.

Bumalik ang tingin ko kay Jiro na may ngiti sa labi. I never saw this man become serious. He always smiles and it's like a sunshine to me, hope he never lost that smile.

Pumunta sila sa pwesto namin at si Birkina ay parang hindi na mapakali sa upuan niya. He even kicked my feet. I flinch and give him a glare.

"Tapos na exam niyo?" Jiro asked.

"Hindi ba obvious?" I said sarcastically. He laughed ay ginulo ang buhok ko kaya tinampal ko ang kamay niya at binigyan ito ng masamang tingin.

Dahil tanging apat na tao lang ang pwedeng sa isang table, gusto ko sanang hatakin si Alejandro pero nauna na si ang epal na Jiro naumupo sa tabi ko. Napalabi ako dahil pagkadismaya. I watched him sat on the next table together with Ash, Blake and the girl I hate.

She smiled at me winningly na parang nanalo ito sa loto. Katabi niya kasi Alejandro. Mas lalong humaba ang nguso ko dahil doon, epal kasi na Jiro eh. Masaya niyang kinausap ang mga kaibigan ko na kinikilig na pati lamang loob.

I sighed and took a glance at my man and saw him looking at me. Agad nawala ang nguso ko at ngumiti sa kan'ya ng matamis. He was his looking at me intently na parang may kasalanan ako sa kan'ya.

Napaigtad ako ng akbayan ako ni Jiro habang masayang kausap ang mga kaibigan ko. I sighed heavily at siniko siya sa tyan. He groaned that made his friends laugh and my friend gasped.

"Gago, off limit na 'yan." natatawang tukso ng mga kaibigan ni Jiro. I crossed my arms and rolled my eyes because of that.

Of course I'm off limits, duh.

Napunta ang tingin ko kay Alejandro at sa babae na naguusap at may sariling mundo. Kung hindi ko lang talaga sila kilala baka akalain ko na mag jowa sila. They are talking like a mature couple. Tsk.

I sighed and look away.

What the hell am I feeling this way? Parang sinasakal ang dibdib ko. I don't know what's is going on to my chest. But I know one thing I don't want to watch them, talking to each other like they are real couple. Para may bumara sa lalamunan. I took my ice coffee and just ignore the weird feeling I'm having right now. Gusto ko nang umalis.
