Chapter 33: Trouble in paradise

"So lemme get this straight" Ariel squints her silver eyes "you're going to Earth?"

Rafa sighs, they had been over this before and he wasn't changing his mind and he only wish his partner would support his decision.

"Si, for Castiel"

Ariel nodded, understanding that no matter what she said, Rafael would still sneak off to meet his sister, besides Castiel was a friend of hers too even if if the last time they hung out together was over two thousand years ago.

"So when do you leave?"  She stood from the bamboo chair she had been sitting on.

"I'll leave now"

"Now?"  Ariel asked surprised.

"Si" Rafael agreed, closing his eyes as we anticipated the lectures that would follow.

"Okay Rafa but I'm coming with you?" Ariel said surprising both herself and Rafael who looked at her with wide eyes "And don't think of leaving me behind cos I will go with or without you"

"Nope"

Uriel protested while shoving more burritos into her mouth, moaning out loud at the delicious taste hitting her taste buds.

Caz swallowed hard, watching her sister savoring the meal.

"Pretty please?" Caz begged as she eyed the mountains of pizza and Burritos kept reducing.

"Nope" Uriel  burped loudly, then dug in the next victim (pizza).

This game between both sisters had been going on the last hour with Uriel devouring food meant for both of them, heck food meant for fifty hefty men. Each time Castiel reached for one slice of pizza or a burrito, Uriel would slap her hand and if she begged nicely Uriel would still say no.

"Come on sis, it's me Caz, your favorite sibling, remember" Caz said, moving her palms near one slice slapped her hand again.

"Give up already, I'm giving you nothing" Uriel said while stuffing her face.

"What the hell Uriel" Caz growled "we've been through this the last two hours, what the heck is wrong with you?"

Uriel sighs, dropping the pizza slice she had been eating. Castiel wouldn't understand why she was stress eating which clearly hadn't worked.

"My father's dead" Uriel announced, pushing away the pizza box she had been eating from. She no longer had an appetite.

"What!" Caz eyes bulged at the bombshell but then she recovers fast "El can never die sister, it's impossible"

Castiel laughed at the thought, It was practically impossible. While she was Death and could practically kill anything, she knew how impossible it was to kill El, which was how she wondered how Samael and his fools had actually thought they'd best the creator. Besides if El died so would all reality. His Essence was what had the entire universe, including heaven and hell functioning. Killing him would be like killing a vampire Sire, all those bound by blood to him would follow.

"Not El Castiel, El's practically infallible,  I meant my human father the Elyseaian king" Uriel grumbled.

"You're mourning a mere human, impossible" Caz said aghast.  "Riri you and I both know he'd have to die someday" Caz logically said.

"You're so insensitive, sometimes I forget how cold you can be" Uriel bit out in anger.

"Uriel" Caz called out slowly "humans  die no matter how we wished they didn't, they just come and go" she explained to the bereaved angel like  she was a college professor explain quantum physics to a daft student.

"Of course if it were Emily, you'd raise her from the dead" Uriel laughed sardonically "you are so selfish Azrael, just like Samael" Uriel spat with disgust.

"You did not just say that" Caz growled, angry at being referenced to Lucifer. Caz palms fisted, her eyes narrowed. She was going to beat the shit out of Uriel.

"I did" the other angel sneered "what are you gonna do, kill me? Uriel said clearly spoiling for a fight. Caz roared in anger, slugging Uriel on the jaw, the force knocking her down. Uriel stood almost immediately, but Caz punched her again, repeatedly while Uriel returned the favor. Lifting Uriel, Caz throws her against the refrigerator (which bends from the sheer force and weight of Uriel) rushing toward Uriel in a flash, she lifted her left hand to deliver a bone crushing punch but stops as she remembered who she had been hitting. It was obvious Uriel wanted to feel pain but instead she spreads her arm, engulfing her sister in a hug, knowing Uriel hated showing her emotions, she patted her head"

"I'm sorry sis" Uriel murmured"I just wanted to feel pain"

"I know, I know, but if there's any consolation he's in paradise, reunited with his wife" Caz consoled, musing inwardly at how their roles had reversed. A week ago Uriel had been the one consoling her.

"Hate to be the one breaking your pity fest but I've got news girls, you both are gonna die" A voice said, startling both women.
