Oh carriers of the sea,
Won't you cry above my yard
Over the wisteria tree?
Filling the air with pit- patter
Of your melancholy melodies?
For though my tears are long empty,
My heart weeps in blood
Through his staccato beats.
Oh glistening emerald leaves,
Won't you sing your rustling lullabies
With the flutes and whistles
Of the gentle wind passing by?
For sleep has long left my roof
And my eyes, though barren dry
Can't sleep through the silent screams.
Oh carriers of the sea,
Won't you weep with me?
