Hoax of hope

31 5 3

Rushin' down the wrong road,

Whenever you ignored the calls

And crimson flags I flashed,

I dared to stop and stay behind in silence.

Not because it'd make you realise

the error in your logic,

Just to make you aware, that you were walking alone.

Just so you would turn back.

And every time, I had a hope you would.

I believed, you always would.

But now, the hope fades into a hoax.

The belief into a prayer.

And I can't even dare anymore.

For another part of me thinks

That's you'd rather choose to walk alone

Without me.

That you'd rather make new companions

Than console me.

And perhaps I realise one thing too.

I'd rather let you believe my silence is fury,

Than tell you that it's hurt.
