Chapter twelve: I miss you

Seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks and months went by and still haven't heard from George, he does come to the store to buy things but won't talk to me, it was horrible, his things are still at my house, maybe he doesn't want to have anything to do with me anymore, I really miss him, it was depressing. The worst part of it is George behaviour and everything, he didn't look like he cried or miss me but it does look like he continued going to gym because he looked hotter, I bet he has a new girl now (I thought).

Feeling really depressed and miserable about the whole situation between me and George, I FaceTime Sharon.

Sharon: Hey girl, how are you doing?

Esther: Bad, I can't stop thinking about George. I know it's been months since we broke up but I miss him, I really do.

Sharon: Come on girl, you can't keep crying. You need to get out from your miserable comfort zone and maybe go on a dating site, look for someone new. George is a past now and if he won't come get his things, throw them out or give him when you see him in the store.

Esther: Moving on is hard for me, Sharon, I'm coming over

Sharon: Alright then, also wear something beautiful, I'm going to set you up with someone. More like a blind date

Esther: A blind date? No don't do that. I'm ready to be in a relationship

Sharon: Do you want to die? Can't you see how you look? You'll get sick if you continue to be like that. Wear something pretty and meet me in the restaurant instead. You don't have a say in this, this time. Hurry up.

Esther: Ugh, fine. What time?

Sharon: 4-ish

Esther: That's in an hour, Sharon I can't do this

Sharon: Blah blah, hurry up. Bye.love you,mean it.

Esther: Ugh. Bye. Hate you, kidding. (End call)

Sharon always love being bossy sometimes and I can't blame her. Also, she is right, I need to move on, I need to forget about George and for his things, I'm giving him or donating it. I need to get ready, blind date, here I come.

It's 4pm and I am really nervous about this blind date idea, what if he doesn't like me, I got dressed and got ready to leave and when I opened the door to leave, George was standing outside.

George: Esther

Esther: George

George: You look great

Esther: Okay

George: Okay??

Esther: What do you want?

George: Where're you going?

Esther: If you don't have anything to say please leave (I said locking the door)

George: I'm here for my things

Esther: What took you soo long to come get it? I'm sorry but you're gonna have to come back, I'm late to where I'm going

George: Where're you going?

Esther: None of your business

George: Alright, I'll come back

Esther: Whatever (I cross checked to see if my door was locked and left)

George came back for his things but I wasn't nice to him, I thought I missed him, why did I act that way towards him?.

I got to the restaurant to find both Sharon and the guy waiting for me, he is good looking but he is not George, I walked up to them.

Esther: I'm sorry I'm late

Sharon: I told you 4-ish, it almost 6pm

Esther: I'm really sorry

The guy: it's alright you guys, she is here now. That is what matters

Esther: Thank you (I said giving Sharon a stern look)

Sharon: Anyways Esther, this is Tom, he 25 and he's a computer engineer

Esther: Hi Tom. Computer engineer, hmm, fancy

Tom: Thank you. So tell me about you, Esther

Sharon: I'll leave you guys to talk

Esther: Alright Sharon, I'll call you. Bye. Love you, mean it.

Sharon: Okay, bye. Hate you, kidding.

Esther: Sorry about that, Tom.

Tom: It's alright, so tell me about you

Esther: Well I'm Esther, I'm 21 and I work as a sales girl in Aldi

Tom: That's nice. When your friend told you about me, how did you feel about it?

Esther: Umm, she didn't actually tell me who I was meeting, I was a little sceptical about it but I came anyway

Tom: why were you sceptical about it?

Esther: Well because my boyfriend broke up with me months ago and I am not ready to be in a relationship

Tom: I understand that, I like you now, you're really pretty, I don't mind dating you. You can use me as a rebound, I don't mind, I just want to be with you.

Esther: No, no don't say that. I won't use you as a rebound and also I could give you a chance. We can date

Tom: Really?

Esther: Yes

Tom: Oh my God, thank you. Do you mind if we hug?

Esther: Sure

Tom: (hug me) you smell great, I'm really glad she set you up with me

Esther: Me too

Tom: Can I get your contact?

Esther: Sure

We exchanged contact and had some dinner, he is funny and nice. I guess it wasn't a bad idea to meet him. After some hours of being with him, he took me home and kissed me, the kiss was different, it was great but I somehow wished it was George kissing me.
