It was the day of the ball and the whole school was really excited.
Not only because of the ball but also because it's the last day before vacation wich means the holidays are coming up and everyone's in a christmassy mood.
I was talking with Daphne about Blaise who'll be her date when we got interrupted by the owls flying into the great hall.
"OUR DRESSES", Pansy squeaked.
Big packages landed infront of me and and everyone else so we finshed our breakfast in record time and ran to our dorm.
I opened the package with the dress I picked out on our last Hogsmeade trip in a store.
It was so pretty and it made my excitement for tonight even bigger.

I still can't believe that I'm going with Mattheo.
I mean he only left me at the party because he didn't want to drag me into the whole death eater thing but now I'm in it anyways what means I can actually be with him.
Gosh Y/N stop making yourself hopes.
After more than an hour all of us four girls were ready.
I was in my dress and put a bit more make up on than usually. I also put half of my curls up with a sparkly hair clip and let the other half down.
I felt so pretty and comfortable.
On the stairs in front of the great hall we separated.
I kept standing on the stairs looking out of the window for a moment.
It was actually snowing outside what made the evening even more perfect.
I felt somoenes eyes staring at me so I turned around and saw Mattheo standing at the end of the stairs smiling up at me.
He was wearing a basic black suit but looked extremely good.
I walked down the stairs to him with the biggest smile on my face.
"Good evening handsome", I stood infront of him now.
"Good evening gorgeous", he held his right arm up and I put my hand around it.
He lead me to the big doors and we entered the hall.
It was decorated amazingly and I couldn't even recognize it.
Music was playing and many people were already dancing.
I saw many people whispering around us and staring at us but we both didn't give a shit.
"You wanna dance", he asked.
"Yeah"
He took my hand and put his other one one my waist and we started swirling around.
He was an unexpectedly good dancer.
I couldn't describe the butterflies and happiness I felt in my tummy.
Our eyes locked for the whole dance and I forget everything else around me.
He completely had me captured in his gaze.
The music ended we stopped but he kept holding me in his arms.
"You look so beautiful Y/N"
I could feel my cheeks going red and smiled at him.
He let go of my waist but kept his hand in mine.
We walked of the dance floor and went into the mass of people.
That's when I saw Pansy and Daphne sitting on a bench looking really down.
"I'm sorry but I think I have to check up on my friends", I looked at Mattheo.
"Alright I'll get us some drinks"
I nodded and then quickly hushed to Pansy and Daphne.
