I jogged downstairs and found nandini in the kitchen, she is seriously perfect. I walked to her and wrapped my arms around her waist making me jump a little but realizing it's me she relaxed in my arms.
"You scared me" she said
"Sorry, those weren't my intentions" I said and she blushed a little
"What" I asked
"Why aren't you wearing a t shirt" she asked noticing im not wearing one
"Because I didn't want to, why you don'tlike it" I asked and she blushed
"Umm I"
"Yes"
"I do, no I mean"
"Im just messing with you, this is all yours" I said
"Coffee" she said and I nodded grabbing it from the counter
"Nandini after breakfast I have something for you"
"You got me chocolates" she asked
"I did but that's not it"
"Then? Oh yesss you got me teddy bear" she asked with twinkly eyes
"Shona shh listen" I said and she pouted
"I don't like you" she mummbled turning the stove off
"I know, now tell me why you have lost weight" I asked sitting down on the table
"I haven't" she said serving is breakfast
"You have, and I told you to take care of yourself"
"I did"
"Shona" I warned
"I didn't feel like eating without you" she mummbled
"Darling this is not fair" I siad
"Everything is fair in love and war"
"So what is this" I asked and she smirked
"Umm definitely war" I chuckled hearing her
"Shush" I said and she laughed
We had breakfast or lunch I should say and Nandini was cleaning up so I ran up to our room and grabbed her the thing I got for her. I jogged back and she was coming out of the kcithen.
"Close your eyes shona" I said and she was about to look at me
"No, close em please" she pouted but did close her eyes
I put the stuff in the corner of the couch and guided her to the couch as well making her sit.
"Can I open my eyes now" she asked
"Yes ma'am" she giggled hearing me
I held her hand in mine and she smiled seeing this. I pecked her hand and she gave me a toothy smile like a baby.
"We got married in a weird way, it wasn't something either of us wanted but we both were bound because of myra and Im so glad about it. I am still extremely sorry about the harsh words I spoke that night, I don't wanna revisit it but I am genuinely very very sorry nandini. I thought I would never get married again after my ex wife because love just wasn't something I believed in but then you happened. I still remember seeing you timidly sitting in my cabin on the first day, oh not to forget you gulping down the water because you were anxious. I couldn't take my eyes off you but I knew I couldn't act on my feelings so I let go. It's funny how god had other plans and here we are. I should have been the one to get you this but you took over for the both of us so thank you for doing that and will you be my wife" I asked pulling out a beautiful ring I had custom made for her in LA
"Manik this"
"Will you be my wife nandini" I asked again and she nodded with tears in her eyes
I carefully slid her 'wedding ring' off her ring finger and placed it in her right hand ring finger. I took the wedding ring I got for her and placed it in her left ring finger, dropping a little kiss on top of it. She flung herself in my arms making me smile, I grabbed into her waist as she put her face in my neck
"Shh I don't want you crying" I said
"Happy tears" she mummbled making me chuckle
"Super happy" I asked and she nodded
"This is beautiful, thank you Manik" she said kissing my cheek pulling back
"Here are your chocolates and the teddy bear" I handed her a whole bunch of chocolates and a tiny little teddy bear.
I didn't wanna get her a huge teddy bear because of a reason but I did get her a tiny one.
"Oh my gosh this is so cute, ahhh I needed one for my purse" she said making me smile
"Ap myra kai liye kya Laye" she asked leaning on my shoulder
"Umm thats for her, im not telling you" I teased and she pouted
"Manik" she wined
"Yes shona"
"Manik Batao na"
"I got her chocolates, clothes, toys and I got cabir and navya some stuff too" I siad and she nodded
"You replaced your band too" she asked as I wrapped my arms around her was it scouting her back closer to me
"No because I love that you got it for me" I said kissing her head
"But it's not super expensive" she said
"And how does that matter"
"People will be like oh my gosh the Manik malhotra, business tycoon is wearing a cheap wedding band while his wife wears a whole ass rock" she is so cute
"Who cares babe, the money doesn't matter, it's the thought that matters to me, you could have literally given me a thread and I would have cherished it the same way" I said and a smile came across her face as she leaned her head a little so she could look in my eyes
She giggled a little after a few seconds of staring in my eyes, I nudged my nose with hers making her giggle more. She is seriously so cute.
"You'll fall in love if you keep staring like that" she said
"Maybe im already in love or maybe I want to fall in love iwht you" I said leaned closer to our nose touched
"Really" she asked and I nodded
I could tell she loves me, she is in love with me, I knew it. Her eyes spoke volumes to me and my heart was doing summersaults. Her lips were right against mine as our nose brushed, I looked up in her eyes and she slightly nodded at me.
I placed my lips on her, and we both took a deep breath. Finally it was happening, the thing I have been dreaming about was happening. She froze for a second but then responded to the kiss, I couldn't help but smile at this moment. I turned her around in between the kiss so she was facing me and her arms hooked behind my neck while my hand was on her face
it felt like fireworks, I felt butterflies in my stomach, sure it sounds girly as heck but it's true. I was so in love with this girl, I fucking love her, I would die in a heartbeat for her. Feeling us both breathless, I pulled back and rested my forehead against hers.
