"What? You don't wanna come thats fine I got it" his voice was cold and distant
"Manik"
"Nandini I understood, now lets work" he said and I got off his table
"Put this on for me" I said handing him the charm he got me this morning
He took the charm and hooked it on my charm bracelet filling it completely. I leaned down and kissed his head making him close his eyes. I knew he was not happy but I had to balance our professional and personal life.
"I know you aren't happy but please try understanding what im saying" I said and he pulled me in his lap
"I will miss you, I don't think I can go nandini" he said putting his face in my neck which he has never done
We have hugged a few times but his chin always rests on top of mine. He has never pulled me in his lap either.
"Manik, it's 5 days and we can face time right, im just a call away" I said ruffling his hair
"Don't you get that 5 days is a whole lot" he seemed frustrated
"I know silly, and it's hard for me too but im doing this for us"
"Im not talking to you and myra can stay with you" he said
"Manik"
"No, I don't wanna talk to you at all" he said and I got up
"When do you leave" I asked
"In an hour" he said putting his laptop away
"What? That soon"
"Now you are thinking twice aren't you, tell me you wanna come and ill get the tickets done" he said with hope
"Shush, your clothes shit Manik why didn't you tell? I would have brought your clothes with me" I said
"No need to, I have my apartment with some clothes in LA" he said
"Umm okay umm spend some time with myra" I siad and he nodded
We walked back to my cabin to see myra chewing on the side of the pillow making me chuckle
"Baby" she looked at me and smiled
"Papa has to go on a work trip darling so do you wanna maybe spend some time with me" Manik asked
"I come too" she asked
"No baby, I need you to stay here to take care of mumma" he said and she nodded
"I take care of mumma and myra" she said and I kissed her head seeing her so grown up
"Yes you do that from okay and papa will bring you lots of chocolates" he said and I smiled seeing them
The next hour Manik and myra played hide and seek, jumped around and we were now at he airport.
"Myra miss papa" myra said making me tear up a little, I could tell Manik was the same way
"I will miss you too sweetie" he said kissing her cheeks
"I love you papa"
"I love you too monkey, take care of yourself and mumma okay. Ill be back super soon" he said and she nodded
He put her in my arms and myra put her head in my neck. Manik pulled me closer with his arms around my back, myra was now in-between us.
"Even though I disliked you doing this, I understand it" he siad
