Chapter 21

Manik's pov

I was sitting in this flight which kept getting fucking delayed and I was staring to lose my shit now. I was supposed to be here for 5 days and it's the 9the fucking day, some idiot messed up something and I wasn't able to go back. I haven't told Nandini that I'm coming back today because I wanted to surprise both myra and Nandini

This trip has been the hardest trip of my life, being away from both my little babies is something I am never doing again no matter how stubborn Nandini might be. I swear I haven't gotten a single hour of good sleep, I keep waking up and not finding Nandini or myra around I start working

Even though I have been calling and face timing nandini and myra it is just not the same. This trip has taught me one thing for sure and that is im so in love with nandini. The kind of love I have never felt before, she infuriates me and makes me want to kiss her the next moment.

I realized that what I had felt for alia was never love, we were young and got married becasue we thought we were so in love but it wasn't, it was an attraction and probably lust. With Nandini I feel different, I want to be different, be better for her.

I want her to know that I love her but I don't want her to get scared of how I feel for her. It's not just love, it's a lot of other things as well. Even though mom and dad were around all the time, I have never felt at peace and comforted like I do with nandini.

I have never felt loved and it's weird because there are many people who love me including my daughter but the love I was missing was Nandini's. She makes my heart beat faster when she is near me.

We landed and drove to the mansion which by every passing second made me happier to be closer to myra and nandini. Finally after almost 9 days I was home, I walked inside to find it dark, well no shit it was 3 in the morning. I walked upstairs to our room.

A smile came across my face seeing her laying down with myra. I almost teared up seeing them sleeping, I have missed this for such a long time. I quickly showered and put on pyjamas.

I kissed myra's head and she snuggled closer to the pillow that nandini had kept on her side. She was sleeping on my side making me smile, she missed me too. I know she did, but she looks weak, almost sick which made me sad. I sat down beside nandini and she jumped up almost scaring me on how quick she jumped up.

"Manik" she whispered seeing me

"Hi baby" I put my hand on her cheek caressing it

"Manik you are here" she said leaning into my touch and I nodded

She moved myra a little and then flung in my arms wrapping her arms around my neck.

"I missed you so much" she whispered in my neck

"I missed you too honey, I missed you a lot"

"You can't leave us again"

"I told you that you should come with but you were stubborn"

"I know, im sorry" she whispered

"It's okay, and no im never leaving without the two of you ever again" I said kissing her head

"I missed you so much, it's incomplete without you, nothing makes sense" she said

"I feel the same way baby"

We stayed in the same spot for a while, I felt complete and at peace and im sure she did too.

"What have you done to yourself" I asked and she shook her head

"Nothing" she mumbled

"You seem like you lost a lot of weight, have you not been eating"

"I have been but it's no fun without you"

"I thought I was rude and arrogant" I teased

"You are but you are fun"

"How" I asked

"Umm I don't know but listen na" I hummed still holding her close to me

"Myra and I made a fort in my old room and in her room too. We also painted hehe she made this cute picture of you her and I"

"What did you paint" I asked

"Us holding hands" she said

"I wanna see it in the morning" she nodded

"Also I finished all the files, umm and and myra and I made so many milkshakes and I took her to the park everyday. No, ankush did not kiss her, they are friends" she said making me smile

"What about my milkshakes"

"I drank yours" she giggled

"You'll make me one tom or I guess today" she nodded and pulled back

"Manik sleep, you must be exhausted" she said and I nodded

"I was but seeing the two of you, Im all energized now" I said caressing her hand that was still in mine

"You didn't trim" she asked caressing my face

"Didn't feel like it"

"You look so tired, manik sleep. We will talk more in the morning" she said

"Umm hmm"

"Manik"

"What"

"Stop staring at me like that"

"Like what"

"Nothing, sleep becasue once myra wakes up, you are not gonna be able to sleep"

"I missed you nandini"

"I missed you too Manik, never again" she said and I kissed her cheek

"Never again"

she got up and moved the pillow from beside myra. She laid down looking at me while I did the same. I put my arm asound and above head. I was caressing her hair while she smiled looking at me, this is all I have been wanting

"Goodnight Manik"

"Goodnight nandini"

I closed my eyes letting sleep consume me finally for the first time in a while. One thing is for sure, I love nandini, im so in love with her.
