Chapter 9

--next morning--

it's been days without me and Camila communicating ever since I found out she was the criminal

i liked Dinah a lot as you could tell, she was the only one who treated me right
and i wanted to tell her

i go downstairs as I see Dinah sitting down on her phone looking adorable as always

"hey Dinah"
Dinah looks up as she hears me
"oh hey"
"you woke up pretty early"
"yeah, I made you breakfast since you made me some last time"
"thank you and um hey can we talk"

Dinah nods accepting as she comes to table and sits down waiting for me to talk

"okay so I hope this doesn't change anything, well I like you Dinah"
Dinah stays silent
"more than a friend Dinah.."
Dinah finally speaks
"I like you too."
"really?"
"yeah I mean I started catching feelings for you babe"

I start smiling like crazy as i felt butterflies in my stomach

"and I would do anything for you y/n"
i smile as I hug Dinah
"then we should go grab something to eat and see if it works"
I say whispering as i see her smile
"that's fine with me" Dinah says giggling

Me and Dinah change, as soon as we changed into more casual clothes we head to the car driving off to a restaurant, as i was in the passenger seat looking out the window I felt warm hands on my thigh, I look down at Dinah's hand as I smile to myself

"I love you"
"I love you too Dinah"
I blush

Dinah parks, I get out closing the car door behind me and walking into the restaurant holding Dinah's hand, as soon as we get in Dinah lets go of my hand, that's one thing I hate about Dinah she cares too much about what people think, i let out a sigh as I walk to the table sitting across from her

we wait until a waitress comes to our table
"hi what will you guys be ordering?"
the nice lady asked us
"um I'll have a hamburger with a salad"
Dinah says smiling to the waitress
"I'll have the same thing"
i look at the waitress as I slightly smile

As soon as the waitress leaves to get our food, I look around admiring the place as I hear Dinah speaking to me

"you like the place?"

"I love it Dinah"

"anything for you y/n"

I smile as I hold Dinah's hand from across the table, interlocking our fingers together and smiling, as I see the waitress come with our food from the corner of my eye, Dinah lets go of my hand as she politely says thank you to her, I frown a bit missing the touch

I start to eat as i hear my phone buzz, i reach for my phone which is in my back pocket, I unlock my phone finding a text from Camila

"hey.."
I roll my eyes as i read the text, ignoring it and putting my phone back, as soon as i do it buzzes again
"please answer, I fucked up.."
I whisper as I read Camila's text
"yeah you did Camila"

Dinah looks at me confused
"what?"
"nothing Dinah.."
I gulp as i remember Dinah hated Camila

I turn off my phone so i can focus on Dinah

"so when did you start liking me Dinah"
"since we first met"
"that was so long ago, I was ugly back then"
"to me you were perfect y/n"
I smile as I feel Dinah's hand on mine
"I'm glad I'm here with you princess"
"I'm glad I'm here with you too Dinah"

as soon as we finish our food, we head out to normani's place, Dinah parks up on her driveway, we walk up to her porch, softly knocking on her door

"hey lovebirds"
normani's says smirking at both of us
as I see Dinah blushing from the corner of my eye
"oh shut it mani"
I hear Dinah say

we walk in normani's place as we sit down on her couch

"so how was the date" normani asks
"it was perfect" Dinah replies as she looks at me smiling
"it was more than perfect" I say giggling as i kiss Dinah's cheek

"oh stop, I feel like a loner" normani giggles as she rolls her eyes playfully

I giggle as I turn on my phone forgetting it was off, as soon as it turned on I saw texts from Camila

--text--
"hello y/n.."
"I'm sorry"
"answer me please"
"don't just ignore me like that"
"all I wanted was you.. I didn't wanna hurt you"

i bit my lip frustrated deciding if I should reply back or not.

"everything okay y/n" I hear normani ask me since she saw me frustrated

"yeah everything's fine"
i lie so she won't ask me anymore questions

I finally reply back to Camila

Y: you literally almost killed me, I can't forgive you for that
C: I know, because if I can't have you no one can..
Y: what the fuck Camila, can you just be a normal best friend
C: why can Dinah have you?
Y: because she's not crazy or a criminal
C: fine then.. guess Dinah has to go
Y: Camila i swear, don't hurt Dinah
C: and if I do?
Y: please don't.
Y: Camila please
Y: if not I'm gonna turn you in
C: then both of you go

i stare at my scream trying to find a way to reply, as I start noticing my hands shaking

"oh my god baby are you okay?"
I hear Dinah's soft voice
"yeah I'm just c-cold"
I say scared
"do you guys wanna sleep over?"
normani asks worried
"yeah please"
I say as I look at Dinah waiting for her answer
"yeah sure whatever"
