n. a moment that seemed innocuous at the time but ended up marking a diversion into a strange new era of your life-set in motion not by a series of jolting epiphanies but by tiny imperceptible differences between one ordinary day and the next, until...

Luther lays in the Plano Street Rooming House for Solitary Men. He has a nightmare, based on the night before with the fight.
He wakes up gasping, hearing a voice calling out his name.
"Luther." Allison's voice echoes, though it's not actually Allison.
"Again! Hit me!" Luther hears, remembering more of the fight.
"Luther?" questions Vanya/ Allison. "Luther?"
"Allison?" Luther asks weakly, the sun blocking his view of Vanya's face.
"Sorry to disappoint." Vanya responds, holding a towel to Luther's beaten and bloody face. "Here. For your face. Do you need a pillow? an... an aspirin?"
"Wait, uh...why are you here, Vanya?" questions Luther, sitting up in bed more.
"You're my brother." Vanya answers. "I mean, apparently."
"Five found you." mutters Luther.
"Yeah, he's downstairs waiting with the car. Along with Marah, another one of our siblings." Vanya mentions. "She's scary."
"Said you'd be better off alone." Vanya mutters.
Luther groans, sitting up. "Yeah. He's an asshole. And she's a bitch."
"Such an asshole." Vanya agrees. "And she is kind of a bitch."
"Right?" Luther answers.
"Right." Vanya responds.
Luther sits up, sitting on the bed next to Vanya. "Um...how much did they tell you?" Luther asks, talking about how much she knows of her past.
"Um, well, they filled in some gaps." Vanya starts. "Uh, eight children, a talking chimpanzee..."
"Yeah." Luther interupts.
"....a very warm and cuddly father." Vanya jokes.
"Mm-hm." Luther hums.
"An apocalypse." Vanya whispers.
"He told you about that, huh?" Luther hesitates, surprised that Five would say anything.
"Well, not all of it." Vanya mutters. "Because I think there's something they left out. About me."
"Huh." hums Luther.
"What caused the apocalypse?" Vanya asked, after a moments hesitation.
Luther hesitates before answering, not wanting to anger his explosive sister. "You did. But not alone. I was part of it. I mean, we all were."
"How?" Vanya asks distressed.
"Uh, you got angry, lost control, and you... blew up the moon." Luther says softly. "It slammed into Earth, wiping out everything."
"Why would I do that?" Vanya asks, voice trembling.
"It's complicated." Luther mutters. "Look...you had kind of a bad childhood."
