Ben x reader

Request from @AnimeDweeb2020, sorry for the long wait but I really appreciate all your support and ideas.

Pov: the team sets up a surprise date.

Wood's pov: Sitting from my place on the sofa I watched as y/n walked out of the office waving goodbye to everyone. Glancing at Benjamin, you could see longing on his face. He clearly loves y/n and she loves him but I never understood why they haven't gone out yet.

"Hey, Ben, why haven't you asked y/n out you clearly like her" The rest of the team became curious at my question.

"Well I have aked but she has a hectic schedule, y/n does all these extra things after work so we just have never found the time" He replied looking down in defeat.

I look at the team an idea forming in my head.

*Later that night*

(The Subject's group chat)

Subject 3: Guys I have an idea

Subject 1: Dude it's too late to be discussing theories.

Subject 3: no it's not that, it's y/n and Ben. Work is the only time y/n has any control of her time. Maybe we should set them up on a so-called surprise date.

Subject 2: Awww they would love that. Matt comes on they need this they clearly love each other.

Subject 1: Alright Alright, I can't stay in the way of true love 'says dramatically' Tomorrow 2 pm, warehouse. 

Subjects 2 and 3: yes

Subject 1: Woods it's your job to make sure they're both there, Sam it's yours and Bailey's job to decorate the room.

Subject 2: what are you gonna do Matt?

Subject 1: I will prepare the delicious meal 'says proudly'

Subject 3: Really matt' Rolls eyes'

Subject 1: What, I can cook.

*Next day 1:45 pm*

(y/n's pov:)

I was busy trying to get all of my work done before the day ends since I have no time after when my phone rang. Wood's name flashes across my screen. Sighing I answer it.

"Y/n I need your help in Orange warehouse, something wrong" I looked at the time then at the stupidly long list of tasks.

"Wood's if this is a joke, it's not funny I haven't got time" I felt bad for questing him.

"No I'm serious, it's alright I asked Matt if you could help me"

"Alright fine ill be there in 5" I hang up and quickly finish what I was doing then headed off to the warehouse praying that whatever Wood's needed my help is, is worth it.

Once I reach the Warehouse the lights are off, and Wood's is nowhere in sight. I'm annoyed at this point and call for him. No response, I get nervous thinking something happened until a small light appears in the center of the room. 

Suddenly I see Ben standing next to a table with a sweet smile on his face. I tentatively walk up to him, still questioning what is going on. He pulls the chair out and I thank him before he sits down.

Scaring me slightly the entire warehouse is lit up by fairy lights surrounding the room, I gaze in awe as the room has been decorated with flowers and lights. I look back at Ben to see the same face of surprise.

Matt walks up to the table in a suit and tie. "Good evening, could I offer you a drink," He says in a funny accent making me laugh slightly. Deciding to go along with it. "What do you have my good sir" "Only the finest champagne" I'm shocked Matt allowed us to have alcohol but I wasn't going to question it.

"The Champagne sounds lovely, two glasses" Matt nods and walks away. I turn to Ben to see him staring at me. "Was this your idea?" I ask

"No actually, Wood's asked me to help him then told me to stand next to this table and wait for ro you to walk in, I guess they set up a date for us" I laugh at his story. God, I love these people. Suddenly a tang of guilt fills my chest.

"Ben I'm sorry I never found the time to do this properly, I just have some issues at home," I say quietly looking down.

"NO y/n don't apologize, I'm just happy to work with you. You are such an amazing person and I couldn't ask for someone better to spend my days with" I smile at his words, making me think should I tell you the truth? But before I can Matt walks back out, carrying food and drinks. 

Looking to see an amazing chicken dish placed in front of me I look at Matt in shock "don't tell me you cooked this" he laughs at me slightly "No, I was going to but then I thought Amanda is a much better chef than I am. enjoy" He walks away leaving us alone.

I and Ben talk for hours about everything in our lives. I learn of Ben's difficult past but I fall deeper in love with him by hearing his story of bravery and determination. Even after all his turmoil, he is still fighting. 

I occasionally got lost in his dark brown eyes, they hypnotized me until I was snapped out of my thoughts by Ben,

"Hey, are you alright" Embarrassed I rush my response. "Yeah, I'm fine... just... I don't know" He puts his hand on mine and I get lost in his warming smile, suddenly I lean closer to him. 

Before I knew it our lips connected sending butterflies into my stomach. I wrapped my arms around his neck, feeling the little hairs that reside there. I feel his arms snake around my waist pulling me closer.

After a few more seconds of bliss, we pull away for air resting our foreheads together. "I love you y/n, so much" I smiled at his words, my heart melting "I love you too Ben, I promise I'll always be there for you, forever and always"

"DO you wanna get out of here" I suddenly realize that it's only about 4 pm, and work doesn't end until 5:30 pm.

"Ben what about work" "Don't worry Matt gave us the rest of the day off" Smiling and finally felt my shoulders relax. Ben pulls me in another kiss and I quickly forget about work, I  only see Ben infront of me, the true love of my life.
