A small guide to some of the places and creatures you may find in my story. If I've missed one, please do point it out! This is not vital to the plot, so feel free to skip ahead! :)
Afanc - A creature with Welsh origin often blamed for floods by breaking pool banks. It sometimes can look like a beaver, crocodile or platypus. SOURCE: Realm of Hell
Druid - An old secretive order who chase knowledge & power. SOURCE: Earth realm
Dybbuk - Malicious possessing spirit believed to be the dislocated soul of a dead person. It supposedly leaves the host body once it has accomplished its goal, sometimes after being exorcised (from wikipedia) SOURCE: realm of the dead
Fairy/Faery - Small humanoid creatures that can be mistaken for an oversized butterfly on first glance due to their patterned wings. Has a nasty bite. SOURCE: Fae-Lands realm
Seelie - The Fae court aligned with the SPCC and is more often referred to as the court of 'good' and tolerates humans.
Selkie - The Selkie is Ireland's and Scotland's take on a mythological marine creature, similar to mermaids, sirens and swan maidens in other cultures. It is a creature that takes the form of a seal in the water, but is able to take off the seal skin on land and emerge as a human. SOURCE: Earth + The sunken land of Lemuria
SPCC - Supernatural Policies and Control Centre.
Spriggan - Generally believed to be darker and more dangerous than their mischievous cousins, Piskies (found in the Seelie court). Spriggans are more spiteful and full of malice, directed at humans in the form of evil tricks. SOURCE: The Fae-lands realm
Troll: Huge creatures that are rarely helpful to humans. Like to keep to themselves and are often found in more barren, rocky areas. SOURCE: The land of the Giants (Jotunheim)
Unseelie - The Fae court that refuses to align with the SPCC. Often referred to as the 'bad' court and has little appreciation of human life
Vampire - A creature that has died but remains alive by drinking blood. SOURCE: Original realm (I.e Earth - human) + realm of the dead
