Dodging the blow, her skin grazed the dart.

Seriously?

Marvel was grateful he didn't have to breathe. The monster's insides smelled beyond gross.

He could do a "Black Adam" and fly straight through the creature's belly, but that would kill it.

Billy never kills.

Breaking teeth while forcing the jaws open was a different story altogether.

While he sat in the belly of the monster, the stomach walls shook as it rumbled.

Covered with slimy goo, Captain Marvel was vomited into the moat.

He looked up at the grinning Aquaman waving his trident while standing on the monster.

"You stink," Arthur crinkled his nose as the monster shoved Cap under water for a much needed bath.

This really wasn't his day. Marvel groaned.

Surfacing, the good Captain came face to face with fiery-eyed Superman.

He had chains of red kryptonite wrapped around his neck and torso.

-------

Clearing her head, Wonder Woman scanned the arena. Clark's hit with red kryptonite.

A huge green boxing glove punched her off her feet.

"Classy, Hal," she rolled her eyes as she leaped at the Green Lantern.

Emerald fire surged at the Amazon.
Instinctively, she blocked the blast with her bracelets.

"It's me. Diana," she yelled at her blank eyed friend hoping to reach him. After clamping on her power restraining bracelets, even with her mind clouded by poison, she could hear Marvel's words. Faintly, yes. But something deep within her stirred, fighting off the mind control.

She hoped that Hal, known for the strength of his willpower, would break free.

"In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape your sight!" Wonder Woman reminded him.

"Evil is controlling you!" Her warm yet powerful voice resonated through the arena. "Fight it off!"

Hal faltered momentarily.

Wonder Woman twirled her lasso around Green Lantern. "See through the hallucinations! See the truth."

Struggling briefly, Hal pushed the fog in his mind away with the sheer force of his will.

"The poison is messing with your mind. Let me give you the antidote," she pressed on.

His protective green aura faded as he held out his hand to Diana.

-------

Pouring on speed, Marvel snapped Superman's red kryptonite chains, and hurled them at escape velocity into deep space.

It was too late. Superman's murderous rage, the effect of this particular red kryptonite isotope, would take at least a day to fade away.

Roaring like a mindless beast, Superman charged at Marvel, headbutting him across the arena.

Then the Man of Steel unleashed the full force of his heat vision on his bro.

"That stings, Clark!" Marvel blocked the blast with his golden bracers.

Correcting his flight, the Captain returned a punch to Superman's jaw and heard that sickening crunch.

Marvel cringed. He'd have a lot of explaining to do to the Kents after all this is over.
