Harry and Asterin walked to the forest early in the morning "What did you tell Umbridge?" Harry asked Asterin
"To let you go obviously"
"But why?" Harry asked
"I guess I care about you" Asterin said walking as Harry stayed behind shocked "what?" She laughed looking back at Harry
"Can I um ask you something?" Harry said getting really nervous
"Go ahead" She said
"Um I wanted to ask you this earlier because I wanted to make sure you felt-" "Luna!" Asterin said when she spotted Luna
"Oh yeah um you were saying?" Asterin said turning her attention back to Harry
"I'll tell you later" He smiled and they walked over to Luna
Luna was with a strange looking creature "Hello Harry Potter and Asterin" Luna said in her soft voice

"Hey, Luna" Asterin smiled
"You're feet aren't they cold?" Harry asked looking down
"Bit" She responded "unfortunately all my shoes have mysteriously disappeared, I suspect nargles are behind it" Luna said
Harry nodded and smiled awkwardly looking at Asterin "I'll be back" Asterin whispered "stay" Luna said calmly
"It really can't wait but I'll stay for you" Asterin said putting her wand back in her hoodie slowly
"What are they" Harry asked looking at the creatures
"They're called Thestrals, they're quit gentle really but people avoid them because they're a bit..." Luna said
"Different" Harry said finishing Luna's sentence
The three walked a little more before Harry asked another question "but why can't the others see them? he asked Luna
"They can only be seen by people who have seen death" Luna explained calmly
"So you're know someone who's died-" Harry said but Asterin put her hand over his mouth
"My mum, she was quit and extraordinary witch. She liked doing experience but one day they went badly wrong...I was 9" Luna said
"I'm sorry" Harry said looking at Asterin who mouth 'Dumbass' and Harry mouth 'I didn't know' back
"It was horrible, I do feel sad about it sometimes but I've got my dad" Luna said reaching into her bag
"You see what the fuck you did" Asterin whispered into Harry's heard
"We both believe you by the way" Luna said looking at Harry while holding a red apple in her hand
Asterin then noticed that Luna wanted to say more but wouldn't because she was there "I'll let you guys talk" Asterin said while she walked to one of the thestrals
