Chapter 6

After that moment at the field, I told him that I to hang out with me and my little sister at-home. Since he did not want to go home yet he agreed. We ditch two classes; he drove to my sister school and brings her home. Once home, I let him play with here while I change. Once I got down I saw them playing with the drawing book.

"What you doing?" I said.

"Drawing..." said Anne.

"Do you want to make a cake?"

Both of them look at each other and nod their head. Matty carry Anne while the three of us when to the kitchen. Once in the kitchen I took all the ingredients and the cook book. And all of us started to bake. After an hour, finally they manage to bake the base of the cake. While I was making the icing of the cake, Matty and Anne were playing with the flour. I look at them and say,

"What are you both doing?" Matty and Anne look at me mischievously. I look at them and I know that they are plotting something. Suddenly they throw flour at my face. I was shock, and look at them. They look at me and thought that I might get angry but then I took the flour and throw it at them back.

We were playing till the alarm for the cake rang. By then Matty was in-front of me shielding me from Anne while Anne were standing at the counter top throwing flour at me. When the alarm rings, I stop both of them and say,

"That is enough mess of the day."Both of them if them then say,

"WE NOT DONE YET..." Both of them said together.

"You're done..." I said while I look at the both them.

"Now I clean you up Anne and you play the living room while I finish the cake and Matty please help me to take the cake out."

"Yes ma'am." Matty said. I smile and carry Anne out of the kitchen.

Once I have change Anne clothes and let her play at the living room, I walk back to the kitchen and saw Matty was cleaning up the place. I walk to the counter and start the cut the top of the cake to make it even.

"Thank you...thank you for making me feels good again. I don't know what I do without you!" Matty said. I turn and look at him and he was looking directly at me both of us staring at each other. That moment was the first time I felt it what dad always said about love. Maybe just maybe...I might have just fall of Matty...Matty McKibben. Crazy but truth, he sounds sincere. Then snap reality step in. It Matty McKibben and even if he is sincere, he can never like never like me. I look away and say,

"Well your welcome...what flavour do you want?" while continue to cut the top part of the cake.

From the side of my eye I can that Matty was walking towards me. He stand beside me and say,

" I like you...not just like as a friend but more than that." I froze.

"I know it strange but it true. Ever since we were stuck with each other, my feelings for you grow. I thought I was crazy, but whenever you were in trouble for helping people, or got hurt I started to get worry and my emotionality became unstable." Said Matty while he places his hand at my face. I did not know what to do, the mighty Matty McKibben he actually did like me and I perhaps like him too. I step back from him and look down. He wanted to walk forwards when I place my hand at his chest so that he don't get any closer to me. I look up and says,

"Matty... thanks for having feeling for me but I think you just pity me you don't really like me."

"It's not pity...I..." before Matty can say anything his phone ring. He look at me and I ask him to take the call and I walk to the opposite site of the counter and continue to decorate the cake.

While I was decorating the cake, I heard Matty's dad was scolding him on the phone. I look at him and saw how sad Matty was. Matty tears start to roll down from his eyes. After a few minutes, he disconnect his phone and look at me.

"Is everything alright?" I said.

"Yeah...My dad was super angry when he found out that we lost; now he wanted me to go back."

"Oh...then are you sure you are okay?" I said again.

"I better go. See you tomorrow." Said Matty. He walk out of the kitchen and stop by my sister. I look at how different he was from the day I first saw him and now. He then turn around and smile at me. That sweet, sincere and one in a million smile that will melt anyone heart. I look at him and froze, my heart were beating very fast, like it will about to explore. Suddenly someone call me. I regain myself and at him.

"You okay?" said Matty.

"Yap." I said while walking to the door. Matty walks out of the door and says,

"Thanks for today."

"No worry...if something happen later and you need a place to stay for a day come back to my house. My dad and I understand. I don't want you to do anything crazy."

"Wow...no one has ever tell me that. I really appreciate it. I will if it went bad. "said Matty while he walk away.
