"Okay!" Sophie gingerly held his hand in hers and they both looked away, trying to keep their flaming red faces a secret.
She glanced toward Linh, though, and saw her wiggling her 🪱 eyebrows up and down.

"Incredibly annoying," Dex put in, making the three of them scream in fear. Linh collapsed, probably from a heart-attack.
"Dex!" Sophie gasped, breathing heavily to recover from the shock. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, you said that you had to head inside earlier. I just happened to be heading inside as well! So after you finishing chatting with Wonderboy—uh, Fitz—I came by to see you again."
"You really didn't need to do that," Tam said dryly.
"I know," he replied, grinning at the ceiling and shrugging nonchalantly. Then he raised his fingers and cast a magic spell on all of them, making them turn into cheetahs and backflip out the pyramid. All the glass shattered and turned into pixie dust, then tinkerbell came and shapeshifted all 12 councilors at once

"The rumors will die down soon, though. The whole school can't possibly be focused on me for the rest of the school year. Right?" Sophie grinned at her friends, who stared blankly back at her. "Uh... right? Guys?"
"Sorry, Soph," Linh said sympathetically. "I already chose you as the topic of my book report. I don't think the rumors are going away."
"You're a school legend," Dex agreed.
