The moonlight fell like scattered pearls
Each one, a possibility of a brand new world
Each one, holding a mystery that I must unfurl
Are there multicoloured oceans?
And limitless seas?
A wondrous, ponderous notion
Oh how I wish to hear what no ear has ever heard and see what no eye has ever seen
To witness the majesty of places no one has ever been
To relive ethereal dreams that I always dream
Perhaps they are memories of another me
A secret message from a land that ceased to be
Or a hypnotic illusion cast by the dazzling moonlight
Yes, tonight these were the thoughts that danced and twirled
As I passionately gazed at the moonlight, that fell like scattered pearls
