A scar that you can't see
A grudge that will never cease
A smile that lacks peace
A future that will never be
A few hours sleep
Ah respite oh so brief
A fake smile, a brave face, one hundred miles, to a better place, it might take a while, they left no trace
His innocence dropped like a broken vase
His childhood wilted utterly disgraced
A blow he can't forgive
A chance he can't give
If only he could live in his sleep
If only sleep is where he could live
