****Sonny's POV****
Thursday Afternoon
January 19th

Barba, Olivia, Amanda, and myself was in the hallway talking while the nurse was changing some of Mia's bandaids and we was able to talk.

"Judge Elana is continuing for you and Amanda to keep custody of Amanda and since Travis is now decreased, we will legally have to try and attempt to find her birth mother."
Barba said

"What why?!"
I said

"Long term if you want to adopt her she'll have to sign abandonment papers."
Barba said

"She's not been in the kids life since she was 5 why would it matter?"
Amanda said

"Because her name is on Mia's birth certificate."
Barba frowned

"There is no living blood relatives that we have been able to locate or find either. I got some people trying to find Mia's mom if she's even alive or if she's possibly not."
Barba added

"We also need to discuss how to tell Mia Travis is dead and have that talk."
Olivia said

"We also wanted to talk to her about why we want her and to keep her too."
I said

"Maybe we should start with letting her know Judge Elana is allowing her to stay with you and Amanda, and that we need to inform her of Travis' death. We need to see how that goes."
Barba said

"True."
Amanda looked at me and shook her head

The nurse walked out of Mia's room and smiled

"You're Able to go in now."
She said

"Let me know how everything goes."
Barba said

"Ok."
I said

Olivia, Amanda, and I walked into Mia's room

"Hey Olivia what are you doing here?"
Mia smiled

"We're going to talk remember?"
I smiled

"Oh yeah, I forgot."
Mia rubbed her head

"Sorry all this medicine is making me feel weird."
Mia added

Olivia, Amanda, and I pulled up a chair next to Mia. Olivia sat on the left side of Mia's bed and Amanda and I sat on the right side of Mia's bed Amanda took Mia's hand

"Something's wrong."
Mia said looking concerned

"Mia we have something's to tell you."
Olivia said

"What?!"
Mia asked frantic

"Judge Elana is extending our custody for you to be in our care."
I said

"What? Really?!"
Mia's eyes got big

"Wait...how did Judge Elana get my case back so easy?"
Mia asked

"Mia."
Olivia said

Mia looked at Olivia

"Judge Elana had an emergency and that's why she was out for your original hearing, and she's back. But when we rescued you, we had no other choice....Travis and the judge are dead."
Olivia said

"You don't have to lie to me I know I'm going back to Travis."
Mia said

"No Mia she's serious. The judge and Travis are dead."
Amanda said

Mia looked down
A few tears fell down her face
She didn't say anything

Amanda, Olivia, and I looked at one another

"So that's it?"
Mia looked up at us
Tears falling down her face

Mia let go of Amanda's hand and wiped her eyes
Tears had stopped flowing out of her eyes
She just sorta sat there
