The sounds of bustling streets and car horns could be heard as Izuku looked out the window of their car on the way to a quirky doctor's appointment. Izuku could see the people passing by him in the car window as he was feeling more jittery than usual and couldn't exactly contain the excitement within him. He would look out the window, then look down on his hands as he marveled at the sight of the lines that decorated his fingertips all the way to his palms. And ever since last week, when they first manifested, the lines, which resembled microchips, soon further stretched into his wrists.

Izuku couldn't help but smile widely at his amazing new quirk. I mean, who wouldn't? The power to basically create holes in the fabric of space where the two would intertwine and transport you to places almost in an instant. To Izuku, that was pretty cool. Even Katsuki admitted that his quirk was cool, and Katsuki Bakugo would only say that once in a lifetime, so that totally meant that his quirk was cool.

Inko, Izuku's mother, noticed the bright eyes her son had through the rear view mirror as she couldn't help but let out a small smile as she continued to drive the both of them to their doctor's appointment.

"Are you ecstatic, Izuku?"Inko inquired, seeing his son vigorously nod his head.

I'm excited! I get to learn more about my quirk and that I will get to name it and stuff! " Izuku said with excitement in his voice and expression. "I'm going to be a hero!" The boy ended as Inko giggled in a soft tone.

Inko was happy for Izuku manifesting his quirk, but the way Izuku had told him first about his quirk manifesting gave her a total fright. It happened last week, just when Izuku and Katsuki got back home. She and her best friend, Mitsuki, Katsuki's mother, were having a nice chat with each other until an oval hole appeared out of nowhere.

They were both shocked when Katsuki's head popped out, and the two screamed loudly. The blonde boy only snickered in laughter as the rest of his body passed through the hole and soon after, Izuku passed by as well. Honestly, the woman couldn't get a break with her son's theatrics.

The two arrived at their appointment and waited for their name to be called in the waiting area.Inko was glad that his son brought in his All Might toys since she wasn't sure if she was able to handle Izuku being bored while waiting for the doctor. But luckily for them, it didn't take long before a nurse informed them that the quirk specialist was ready to see Izuku.

Izuku immediately got up excitedly as she followed the nurse to the doctor's room, with his mother right behind them. When they entered, the doctor greeted the two and asked for both of them to take a seat. The doctor then asked a few questions about how his quirk manifested, what it was, and asked for their family tree to know how Izuku got his quirk. Inko found out that her great-great grandmother also had a quirk similar to Izuku's, which meant hers must've been passed down to Izuku.

After the talk, the doctor got up and asked Izuku to come with him so that they might be able to test out his quirk and see its capabilities while also figuring out its limits. Izuku happily obliged and waved goodbye to his mother for a little while. After just a few minutes, Izuku came back with the doctor, and the doctor asked the both of them to wait a little longer for the test results.

The two nodded as Izuku rushed to his mother's side and sat right next to her as he chatted about the tests he took and his mother happily listened. After a few short minutes, the doctor came back with test results in hand as he sat back down behind his desk and showed the results to the mother and son.

"Your son, Mrs. Midoriya, has a very powerful quirk." The first thing the doctor said made Inko gasp in shock, and Izuku smiled widely as he began bouncing on his seat. "When we looked to see your great-great grandmother's own portal quirk, we saw a big difference in power." The doctor finished, and the two were in great awe.
