Every college tour I've ever been on
Has those silly blue lights poles,
Strategically placed to always meet your eyes.

Emergency,
They read.
Knowing I'd never set the system off if there was one.

I wish there was a blue light pole in my sight
All the time.
Never having to be a conscious thought in my mind.

If getting help was as simple as triggering the system on one of those poles,
Maybe I would've done so long ago.
