"OMG. So Austin really is staying at your place," chioma whisper screamed into my ears. She has been bugging me through out lecture to give her every details about last night.

Okay! Technically, she's the only one I told about my little crush on Austin.

"Nothing happened really. We only talked for a while, I helped him get Mel to sleep and that's all. Plus we definitely had dinner together, so, no big deal,"

"Is that all?" She raised one of her eyebrows

"Yes. Apparently, he's gonna be there till Thursday," I concluded.

"No way." She screamed again, this time, a boy beside us turned his attention to us.

"Yes way. That's by the way, how's Damien?" I asked obviously trying to change topic.

"Girl, we really need to talk about this matter. You can't keep hiding your feelings for him forever, you know that right?" She added not buying into my idea of changing topic.

"I do, but what can this girl do. Austin has never shown any sign of affection for me before except last night. And I can't read his mind either," I honestly told her

"Except last night?" She repeated after me. "What happened last night?"

"Forget I said that",

"Girl, you better start talking",

I shook my head refusing to say a word.

"One", she counted as she raised her index finger. Still, I said nothing.

"Two", she added another finger. Just as she was about to raise the third finger, I spoke up

"He kissed my forehead and I really can't interpret that", the words left my mouth without me processing it.

"Then tell him", she said.

"Tell him what exactly?" I raised an eyebrow

"That you like him. Sweetheart, if you don't let out your feelings you will keep hurting", she advised.

"I still won't get a chance with him. He's one of the hottest guy in school. Do you know how many girls will kill just to have a one night stand with him?"

"Mel, this is a guy we both have been friends with since elementary school. You know him better than any of those girls out there", she said and I knew she was right.

"By the way, people fall in love with their close friends and your case is not any far from that", she added

"Let's change topic please." I begged. The more we talked about it, it more my eyes were getting wet.

She looked at me, trying to pass a message but I only smiled and mouthed 'please'.

"Okay. So, what're you wearing for tomorrow's hangout", she asked letting go of my case. "And am bringing Damien too", she added

"My usual. Leather shorts and a crop top or a small dress, really don't know yet",

"You know what, I will come over to your place tomorrow evening, maybe, just maybe I will get you a suitable dress from my closet",

"Alright, suit yourself", I rolled my eyes.

I excused myself from class and left for the restroom. I ran all the way till I locked myself inside one of the toilets. I closed the WC and sat on it. I let down my tears as they flowed freely down my cheeks.
