12 | not buying it

-matt pov-

"This is exactly why Chris" I say.

"What?" Chris says.

"You immediately just start shipping us" Ella says.

"I've shipped you guys since that day at the grocery store" He says.

"Same lowkey" Nick responds.

"Why tho? We still kinda hated each other then" I state.

"You guys whispered in each other's ears and even held hands" Chris says.

"I only told him we should run" Ella says proving a point.

"Mmhmh" Nick says in a sassy tone.

"What else did you guys do?" Chris asks smirking.

"Slept" Ella says.

"Did you guys finish the movie?" Nick asks.

"Nah" I say.

Nick laughs and looks at me saying, "Or was it beacause you were busy kis-"

"NO NICK" I yell.

"It was boring" Ella says getting up to get a glace of juice.

"I'm not buying it tho" Chris says.

"Buying what?" I ask confused.

"I don't believe that you guys kissed" Chris says.

"Show us proof" Nick says.

"How?" Ella asked out of confusion.

"Kiss him" Nick says making Ella look at me.

"Why tho?" I ask.

"If she's comfortable with kissing you it means she's done it before" Chris says. 

"OK?" I say.

"Okay do it" Nick says. I look at Ella who is already looking at me smiling. I walk up to her and lean in to kiss her. Our lips touch each other and we pull away after a peck.

"That's gross" Nick says.

"How?" Chris asks.

"Im gay" Nick says making us laugh.

"So are you guys dating now?" Chris asks as a smile grows on his face.

"I don't have feelings for Matt" Ella says. 

Damn. I did. Even if we've been out of our 'i hate you' phase for a day. I did. But I had to lie.

"Exactly, and I have no feelings for Ella so you guys can stop making us kiss" I say. 

-ella pov-

"I don't have feelings for Matt" I say lying.

"Exactly, and I have no feelings for Ella so you guys can stop making us kiss" Matt says.

I wanted to scream. I honestly did have feelings for Matt. I just can't let him know.

"Aww" Nick says getting up and heading upstairs.

"Where are you going?" I ask Nick.

"Going to cry me to sleep beacause people meant for each other don't like each other" He says fake crying. 

"I HATED HIM ALL MY LIFE!" I yell to him before he slams his door.

"Fuck Moms gonna wake up" Chris says because of the loud sound Nick's door made. Right after he said that MaryLou came down the stairs.

"Hi mommy" Chris says going to hug his mom.

"Hey Chris, why is Nick mad?" She asks hugging him back.

"He's mad because these two millennials won't be with each other" Chris says pointing at me and Matt.

"Ella and Matthew?" she says confused.

"Yea" Chris says.

"I thought you guys hated each other" she says looking at Matt and I.

"Yeah we did" I say.

"Yayy now we all love each other" she says making me, her, and Matt have a group hug.

"Mom" Matt says.

"Ok ok" she says pulling away.

"Id loves to see you guys together" she says.

"They don't have feelings for eachother" Chris says.

"Ugh" She says before she leaves.

"Anyway, Imma go shower and then well go somewhere to eat if you guys want" Matt says.

"Yeah sure"  I say before seating myself on the chair beside the counter and Matt heads upstairs.

As I'm about to go to the living room to pick up all the snacks Matt and I left, I get stopped by Chris.

"Ella" he says from behind me.

"Yeah?" I say turning around.

"I have a plan." He says.
