09 | dinner

-matt pov-

It felt good to hug Ella. It felt good that we agreed not arguing anymore. We could've done this years ago, but we decided not to. I don't know why but good things take time.

"You guys hungry?" Chris asks.

"Yeah but I need to get my cast removed today. You guys go I'll meet you there. I'll stop at the hospital" Ella says.

"No ill, ill drop you off. Well wait for you" I say. 

"Ok, thanks" Ella says.

"Ship" Chris says.

"Stop bro let's go," I say before grabbing my keys and heading out.

-time skip to the end of the hospital's appointment-

"Ok, your all good" Doctor Alyssa says.

"Thank you. For everything" I say.

"No problem, Ella," she says before walking me out of the room.

"Hopefully you won't be back here" Chris says.

"I won't if I stay away from Matt's chair" I say making them all laugh.

"Let's go eat now" Nick says.

"Ok" Chris says as we all enter the car driving to the nearest restaurant.

We listen to music the whole way there and we finally arrived. We enter, get walked to our seats by the waiter, and look at our menus.

-ella pov-

Nick and I were sitting together and Matt was in front of me while Chris was beside him.

"You guys wanna hear a joke?" Matt asks.

"Sure" We all say.

"Ok Ella" Matt says.

"Yeah?" she says. 

"Wanna know what's on the menu tonight?" He says starting to laugh.

"What?" I say laughing because I already knew that joke.

"ME N U" Matt says before cracking up laughing making us all laugh.

"Everyone knows that Matt" Chris says.

"That why- why I said it" Matt says barely able to speak.

We finally stop laughing and the waitress comes to get our orders.

"Hey, can I get wait, you guys all look the same?" The waitress says.

"Yeah were triplets. One's dead" Matt says.

"I'm right here Matt" Nick says knowing Matt was talking about him.

"So all of you guys are alive triplets?" The waitress asks.

"Yeah" Nick says. 

"You guys are all triplets and I know you guys all look the same, but you really cute," The waitress tells Matt.

"Thanks but I have a girlfriend," He says making us all look at each other. 

It gets kind of awkward but she still takes our order. After she leaves we all stare at Matt.

"Girlfriend?" Chris says.

"Girlfriend," Matt says.

"Matt the only girlfriend you ever had was Milli from Team Umizoomi," Nick says making us all laugh.

"Are you for real Matt?" I ask after he finished laughing.

"Yeah" He says.

"Oh" I say as my smile fades away.

"He's joking Ella, but why do you care?" Nick asks me.

"I was just wondering" I say hiding my jealousy. I didn't like Matt. I don't think I do. But seeing him with another girl for the first time in all these years will be so weird.

We got our food shortly after and I kept catching Matt looking at me.

"You know it's not good to stare right?" I tell him.

"What?" he says shooting up.

"You were staring at her" Chris says.

"🎶I love the way you make me feel🎶" Nick sings.

"Nick stop bro, it's getting late anyway let's go home" Matt says looking at me as he gets up. He just smiles and starts walking.
