Anya was waken up in the middle of the night from the bell ringing and screams. She heard people screaming, "Fire!" and she smelled the smoke. The rush of adrenaline woke her up immediately and she grabbed her weapons, slipped into her shoes and, already running to the source of the fire, she put her cloak on, which covered her weapons. She saw that the storage was on fire and saw several people already trying to put the fire out. When she rushed over to coordinate the efforts, she heard someone shout, "Veida!" (invaders) followed by gunshots. Two figures emerged from the darkness and when they stepped into the light of the burning building she recognised the boy shouting for the village leader. It was this Finn kom Skaikru. Anya stepped forward, "You can talk to me, Finn from the Sky People. Why do you come into our village with guns?" She kept a stoic expression.
A flash of recognition showed on Finn's face and his scowl deepened. He shoved his hostage away and pointed his gun at Anya, "Where are my friends? I know you have them. We don't want to hurt you, we just want our people back!"
With him this emotional, Anya knew how fast the situation could escalate and the commotion behind her proved her point. So she tried to deescalate the situation and shouted to the villagers, "Chil au! Nou ste branwadas! Ai na hod disha kripon klin! (Stay calm! Don't be fools! I will stop (/handle) this problem)"
And to Finn she said, "We didn't take your people. They were taken by the Mountain Men, our greatest enemy. Clarke and I could escape and she is back at your Skaikru camp."
Sadly that didn't appease Finn and he said, "Then you won't mind me looking." And with that he turned around to search the village. The fraction of a second before Finn had fully turned, Anya saw a shadow behind Finn. Metal flashed in the shine of fire and Finn fell to the ground screaming. Immediately all hell broke lose. The villagers ran in all directions. Some fled from the new attacker and some charged at the second boy, Anya did not know. "Em pleni! (Enough!)" Her call sounded through the village and the one who attacked the second boy froze. In all the chaos Anya identified the shadow as her guard Alura and that was whom she spoke to now, "Take two people and bring the boys to a cell..." She was interrupted when Alura turned to Finn and kicked him in the face. Her warrior had noticed that Finn reached for his weapon and knocked him out cold. Anya was proud. And relived that she only took the most skilled warriors with her. She definitely would have an eye on Alura's skills and on Finn, so the boy could not do more damage. "Take two people and take them to a cell and make sure, the branwada doesn't bleed out." Alura nodded and picked up the guns and gave them to her general. Then she picked up Finn while two villagers took Murphy with them.
Anya sighed quietly and raised her voice, turning to the crowed, "The damage to the storage is done. We will assess it tomorrow. Go back to your houses now."
Slowly the crowed dispersed and Anya went to her tent, carefully the guns in hand as she didn't know what else to do with them and not being sure whether or not they could go off at any moment. Tonight she would not get any more sleep, so she might as well think about what to do next. She didn't want to let the guns out of her site, she didn't want to carry them around, but she also wanted to see the prisoners. Hopefully, she would find answers to her questions. And the crowed needed to be appeased in the morning.
