After a Month:

My neck became sore applying a thick layer of concealer on a new scar of my thigh. It looks ugly when come into view.

I didn't dry my hair since my eyes couldn't overlook the dark patches looked like a car has been drifted over my fair skin bemishing the peril of temptation.

Once I was done hiding this ugly thing, I dried my hair. I wore a black shirt hugging my body perfectly and a skirt covering my thighs.

I did a little makeup and left my hair untied. Stepped out of my room holding my heels in my hand. I called Jas on my way.

I lifted one of my shoulder to secure my phone above the ear. I shoved the flip-flops away and slipped my foot in the heels firmly.

While I was locking the door Jas called my name from behind. It had been a long time since we met this way.

My house owner were watering plants in his garden. He sure sleeps till late in the morning. He always water in the evening. I smiled back after him.

Jas came towards me plastering a cute smile on his face I missed a lot. He opened the door and I slid inside on the passenger seat. He closed the door and adjusted himself on the driver seat which made me think if he has worn something uncomfortable.

I picked skirt for tonight because it's so comfortable. I can move all the way I want in this attire.

He fastened his seat belt and came near me. I jolted back and asked,"What?"

He said,"Seat belt."

I arched my brows in confusion and stated innocently,"I can do it."

He still leaned forward staring right into my eyes digging up my soul. He pulled the webbing and buckled the seat belt. He muttered "Naive" under his breath.

I pouted over his words. He is manifesting extra affection.

He ignited the engine and sped up.

After five minutes of complete silence I asked him,"Where are we going?"

He turned towards me. While locked his gaze on me he curled his lips upwards into a smile then started driving again.

What did that mean?

I asked him,"What happened to Dave?"

His smile faded away hearing his name.

After giving it a thought he finally said,"Behind the bars."

I exclaimed,"What? How?"

He took a glance at me from the corner of his eye.

I clapped softly in order to praise him. He didn't respond. "And where is your father?"

"Locked up."

I widened my eyes and asked,"Why?"

"He is the rightful owner of the company. Everything was happening in front of him. I couldn't save him from the custody."

"How did you prove Dave guilty in the first place?"

"I'm forensic expert. Is it hard for me?"

I nodded.
"O yes, yes, you can. But weren't he prepared for.."

He interrupted,"It was my company. What? Do you think he is smarter than me or you think I can never compare to him?"

I waved my hand nonchalantly,"No, no, I didn't mean that."

He stopped the car suddenly. I jerked forward but trapped within seat belt.

He opened the door and stormed out slamming the door. I closed my eyes at the loud sound the door made.
