TBatG Spin-off: Verde's Backstory

So this was an idea I've had for a bit.

The spin-off will take place in the first book, along with a second ending about her meeting Vao at the Initiation in the second book. Or should I just make a separate world, without using RWBY characters? To give the story more originality? I have so many ideas for this one. As of now, it's planned to be based in the world of Remnant, but I want to hear what you guys want - a separate world of my own make, or stick to RWBY. I haven't written much, so there is no issue with changing it. I already have a massive idea on the world Team FRSB belong in!

Her childhood applies to all stories she makes an appearance in, and her character as a whole. Verde has a reason for her eccentric behavior and her love for painting. I've mentioned bits and pieces through Ironwood and her character profile in TBatG 2.

I figured it would be nice to give her a backstory, and Sasha's own story could come later. It'll also expand on the depth of the characters, and improve my writing (hopefully). And with writing their world and not Remnant, it could give a sneak peek into a possible manga I've been thinking about writing!
