"I give you my daughter, Fatima abdulrahman, in accordance to shari'ah in the presence of everyone present here with the dowry agreed upon, and Allah is our best witness" Dad said,

"I accept marrying your daughter, giving her name to myself in accordance to the Islamic shariah, in presence of the witnesses here with the dowry agreed upon, and Allah is our best witness" Aman said,

Then it was announced that we should both sign the marriage certificates given at the beginning of the event and it is official masha Allah, I can't believe I'm Aman's wife now, it sounds really weird to me, everyone close to me was already saying mabrook ,mabrook.
Mum told Aisha and yusra to take me to my room so Aman will come to unveil his bride. I've never seen people so excited to carry out a task like the way yusra and Aisha were happily carrying me to my room. when we got there, they sat me down, covered me with a big white veil, but not without teasing me, and it was getting to me badly, I was blushing really hard, but they had to leave since Aman will be here soon.

Shortly after they left, I started hearing footstep coming towards the room since my room door was left opened, the footstep got louder and I already started blushing because I knew for sure it was going to be Aman, when it was certain he was at the front of the door, I didn't hear any noice from him,

"maybe he's checking me out", I thought to myself as I blushed,

The next thing I heard, was a loud thud on the ground, I quickly removed the heavy veil on my head to get a clear view of what was happening, and there on the floor, I saw Aman lying flat in the pool of his blood, I was shocked, for a moment everything stopped, I looked for words to say, but I couldn't find any, then I realized, I had to act fast before anything worst would happen, I bent down to his level,

"subhanAllah" I cried,

"Aman, aman, aman wake up" I started calling out to him, but he wasn't answering, I shook his body with all my power but he wasn't responding, the blood loss was getting too much and it was coming from his head,

"somebody help!" I screamed at the top of my voice,

"help" I shouted again, I felt like air was completely drained out of my lungs, but I don't care at this moment,

"subahanAllah"

"subhanAllah"

"Brother Aman" yusra shouted as she cried,

Let's quickly take him to the hospital", I heard dad said, my gaze at this moment was concentrated on Aman.

Aman Dad drove us to the hospital, with Dad seated at the front, I and yusra at the back, and Aman laid on my laps, tears was tricking down from my eyes to his face, I still can't believe this is real.

We got to the hospital, he was quickly carried to the accident and emergency section, we all stood in the waiting area, silently waiting for the doctor to address us.

Everyone was already seated all quiet, but I couldn't bring myself to sit, I was told to but I didn't, after waiting for almost an hour, the doctor came out,

We all went towards him,

"how's he"

"what's wrong"

"Is he fine" we all said simultaneously,

"how did it happen" the doctor asked,

Then they all turned to look at me,

"I - I -I was sitting lo-o-oking doww-nn , wh-en I hear-d-d a loud thud on the floor" I said in a shaky tone,

"The fall must have been a very great one, because it lead to brain contusion and we have to carry out surgery as soon as possible to bring him out of the danger zone" the doctor said,

"subhanAllah" Aman's dad muttered,

At this point, yusra was already crying really hardly, I pulled her closer to me to console her, but I don't know who was consoling who because I broke down too,

"you guys shouldn't cry anymore, the only thing you should do now is to continue praying that Allah makes it easy for him" dad said,

We both nodded and cleaned our tears,

We all went to the Masjid to say our prayers, I never imagined this will happen on my wedding day, I know it's all a test from Allah which shall pass, and I'll continue praying to him to grant Aman shifa.

About 4 hours later, the doctors were done with the surgery, the doctor told us that he was out of the danger zone now, but he slipped into coma during the operation, it might take him a week or more, but we should continue praying for him. We were all devasted by this, but we had no choice, it's Allah's decree, we can only keep praying.

Aman's Dad, Dad and yusra got prepared to leave so they can freshen up, but I told them I would stay with Aman,

"but Fatima, your clothe is all stained with blood, why don't you freshen up then come back" aman's dad said,

that was when I realized I was still in my wedding dress and it's covered with blood, "my husband's blood"

"no I'll stay here, yusra can come with my clothes later on" I said,

He was about to protest but Dad stopped him,

I bade them masalam as they left.

I went to the door of the room Aman was transferred to, I saw him hanging for his dear life, different wires have been connected to his whole body, he was on life support, tears started forming in my eyes but I quickly cleaned it,

"I have to be strong for me and for Aman" I said to myself,
I was still looking at him when I heard someone said,

"you're devastated right?" when I turned, it was yusra,

"I thought you left" I said,

"I couldn't leave you here" she said,

I nodded,

"I persuaded dad to bring our clothes over" she said,

I wanted to talk but I just found myself nodding, I guess everything that happened is just so overwhelming,

"we never thought it would come back, we thought he's over it" yusra said,

"what is that" I asked her,

"it all started on that joyous day which turned sour" she said.
