Love

"Don't go anywhere, okay? Zoren might be the one to get you after class. I'll see you at the house, okay? I have a Taekwondo class today," sabi ni Sean habang inaayos ang trolly bag ko.

Tumango ako habang inaayos n'ya ang uniform ko. I have bodyguards with me.

"Okay!" I said while having a hard time doing the okay sign.

Sean chuckled. He hugged me.

"Who taught you that?"

"Zeus. He taught me and Hiraya!" I was proud.

I waved my hand when I looked back. Naroon pa rin si Sean habang pinapanood akong makapasok sa gate. He waved his hand back with a smile. Tumakbo na ako papasok.

"Alanis!" Tumakbo si Kimberly papunta sa akin kaya napahinto ako. "You are late!" She said every word with emphasis.

I rolled my eyes. I wasn't late. She was just early! She was overreacting.

"Hi," bati ng hindi ko kilala. He's in the same uniform as ours, so it means he's our schoolmate. But I do not know him.

"He is Azriel, my cousin, Alanis," si Kimberly.

Kumunot ang noo ko sa nakangising lalaki. He looked good. But he looked quite older than us.

Lagi kaming sabay sa lahat ng bagay ni Kimberly. We eat lunch together, at kahit na sumasabay sa akin si Zoren at Sean minsan kumain, kasama ko pa rin siya. Kaya nagtataka ako kung bakit 'di ko kilala 'yong pinsan n'ya.

"Hi," I greeted back without accepting his hand. Nauna na akong naglakad. My Mom said I shouldn't trust strangers easily. He was a stranger.

Malakas ang tawa ni Kimberly sa likod ko.

Azriel kept on visiting Kimberly in her classroom, but he always looks my way. Masama lagi ang tingin ko sa kan'ya dahil pakiramdam ko ay may crush siya sa akin. Sean and Zoren told me that I am too young for that kind of things. Pinagalitan pa nila si Maddizon dati dahil kung ano-ano raw ang pinapanood n'ya sa amin ni Zoey. Maddizon was fond of royalty stories matched with romance.

Lagi na rin s'yang sumasabay sa amin kasama ang mga kaibigan n'ya. I don't know his friends, and I didn't interest knowing them. I didn't actually care.

I was waiting for my brother while playing with Kimberly in the nook. I stopped when I saw Azriel running towards his mother. He was so delighted to see his mom. He looked cute.

"What are you looking at?" si Kimberly at hinanap ang tinitingnan ko. "My cousin? He's a mama's boy. He's actually nice, so why don't you like him? He wants to be your friend."

"He doesn't want to be my friend. He wants me to be his girlfriend," inosenteng sabi ko.

I was surrounded by boys, and no matter how they try not to let us hear their chitchat, I always hear some details. They're young but some of them are finding girlfriends. At baka ganon din ang gusto ni Azriel.

Kimberly laughed.

"You're pretty, but you're so arrogant. He just wants to be your friend. What are you saying?"

I glared at her for laughing at me.

"My cousins are mostly boys. I know what I am saying!"

"Super bata pa natin, Alanis. I can't believe you," says someone who's crushing hard on our classmate!
