❝ Hellooo? Are you still there?❞ Jake sings through the speaker.

Hoping she would recognize anything just by seeing his face, but she surely did recognize him having a handsome face.

Soohyeon has, at long last, regained her senses.

❝ Ah yes. Okay, so it's you,❞

The laugh comes out hesitantly.

She then goes on to raise a question after a small delay in the line.

❝ By the way, why don't you call your friends though? ❞

❝ Oh. Uhh about that... I-❞

He gets abruptly cut off.

❝ Don't tell me you forgot their numbers, or that you don't know their numbers❞

She scoffs as if she already knows that what she said is right.

❝ Yeah... haha❞

Now it's his turn to chuckle in an awkward manner.

❝ I only know 911, so yeah,❞

His awkward chuckle continues.

Jake breaks out in a grin as he discovers that Soohyeon shares his sense of humour. - but fades away when she adds a line,

❝ Do you know you're gonna get blocked on dialling 911 if you keep calling for nonsense?❞

❝ I'm not calling you guys for nonsense. I-❞

❝ 911 is for emergency calls, so you calling because you're lonely is nonsense for us.❞

Before he can finish, she interrupts him to set him straight.

Another silence fills the line.

❝ And our time can't be wasted with that stuff-❞

The sentence is suddenly cut this time, and she is the one who gets it.

❝ But you're wasting your time for me? Thank you, Soohyeon.❞

As he speaks, his sincerity seeps through the phone lines and into her ears, causing her to feel tingles as she receives those words.

Oh if only he knew why she accepted his call...

Soohyeon sighs again, this time with a little more ease than before, as she is once again caught aback by his genuineness.

❝ What I'm doing is completely out of my comfort zone. All I could do was give in.❞

She says, which was true as she would never thought of accepting his offer even though it's her last call.

It's like something about him is keeping her from ending the call.

Again, Silence fills the line.

❝ Thanks again-❞

❝ You can stop saying " thank you" This is starting to get weird.❞

She expresses her displeasure with the atmosphere.
